PSD95-disc large-zonula occludens (PDZ) domains are globular modules of 80-90 amino acids that co-evolved with multicellularity. They commonly bind to carboxy-terminal sequences of a plethora of membrane-associated proteins and influence their trafficking and signaling. We previously built a PDZ resource (PDZome) allowing us to unveil human PDZ interactions by Yeast two-hybrid.

Robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) is the standard of care for small, localized kidney tumors. This surgery is conducted within a short hospital stay and can even be performed as outpatient surgery in selected patients. In order to allow early rehabilitation of patients, an optimal control of postoperative pain is necessary.

Unlabelled: In recent years, there has been considerable interest in mAb-based induction of costimulatory receptor signaling as an approach to combat cancer. However, promising nonclinical data have yet to translate to a meaningful clinical benefit. Inducible T-cell costimulator (ICOS) is a costimulatory receptor important for immune responses.

Background: Although adjuvant cancer treatments increase cure rates, they may induce clonal selection and tumor resistance. Information still lacks as whether (neo)adjuvant anti-HER2 treatments impact the patterns of recurrence and outcomes of HER2-positive (HER2+) metastatic breast cancer (MBC). We aimed to assess this in the large multicenter ESME real-world database.

Metastatic lung cancer classically portends a poor prognosis. The management of metastatic lung cancer has dramatically changed with the emergence of immune checkpoint inhibitors, targeted therapy and due to a better understanding of the oligometastatic process. In metastatic lung cancers, radiation therapy which was only used with palliative intent for decades, represents today a promising way to treat primary and oligometastatic sites with a curative intent.

RAD51 forms nucleoprotein filaments to promote homologous recombination, replication fork reversal, and fork protection. Numerous factors regulate the stability of these filaments and improper regulation leads to genomic instability and ultimately disease including cancer. RADX is a single stranded DNA binding protein that modulates RAD51 filament stability.

Background: Pharmacological synergisms are an attractive anticancer strategy. However, with more than 5000 approved-drugs and compounds in clinical development, identifying synergistic treatments represents a major challenge.
Methods: High-throughput screening was combined with target deconvolution and functional genomics to reveal targetable vulnerabilities in glioblastoma.

Robot-assisted radical cystectomy with intracorporeal urinary diversion (iRARC) is increasingly being performed instead of open surgery. A criticism of this technique is the long learning curve, but limited data are available on this topic. At our center, the transition from open radical cystectomy (ORC) to iRARC began in May 2017.

In radiotherapy, patient positioning has long been ensured by ionizing imaging (kV or MV). Over the past ten years, surface-guided radiotherapy has appeared in radiotherapy departments. It is a continuous three-dimensional acquisition of the surface of the patient, based on the use of several optical cameras.

Intratumoural heterogeneity is associated with poor outcomes in breast cancer. To understand how malignant clones survive and grow in metastatic niches, in vivo models using cell lines and patient-derived xenografts (PDX) have become the gold standard. Injections of cancer cells in orthotopic sites (spontaneous metastasis assays) or into the vasculature (experimental metastasis assays) have been used interchangeably to study the metastatic cascade from early events or post-intravasation, respectively.

Background: Major surgery, along with preoperative cholestasis-related complications, are responsible for the increased risk of morbidity and mortality in perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (pCCA). The aim of the present survey is to provide a snapshot of current preoperative management and optimization strategies in Europe.
Methods: 61 European centers, experienced in hepato-biliary surgery completed a 59-questions survey regarding pCCA preoperative management.

Background: Dysthyroidism (DT) is a common toxicity of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and prior work suggests that dysthyroidism (DT) might be associated with ICI efficacy.
Patients And Methods: ConSoRe, a new generation data mining solution, was used in this retrospective study, to extract data from electronic patient records of adult cancer patients treated with ICI at Institut Paoli-Calmettes (Marseille, France). Every DT was verified and only ICI-induced DT was retained.

Background: Laparoscopic technique and the enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocol have become the standard of care in patients undergoing right colon cancer surgery, reducing hospital stay and postoperative morbidity. However, the optimal anastomosis technique [intracorporeal anastomosis (ICA) or extracorporeal anastomosis (ECA)] remains debated. This study aimed to determine the optimal perioperative approach (ICA vs.

The luminal B molecular subtype of breast cancers (BC) accounts for more than a third of BCs and is associated with aggressive clinical behavior and poor prognosis. The use of endocrine therapy in BC treatment has significantly contributed to the decrease in the number of deaths in recent years. However, most BC patients with prolonged exposure to estrogen receptor (ER) selective modulators such as tamoxifen develop resistance and become non-responsive over time.

Several therapies to improve the management of lymphoma are currently being investigated, necessitating the development of new biomarkers. However, this requires high-quality and clinically annotated biological material. Therefore, we established a lymphoma biobank including all available biological material (tissue specimens and matched biological resources) along with associated clinical data for lymphoma patients diagnosed, according to the WHO classification, between 2005 and 2022 in the Laboratory of Clinical and Experimental Pathology, Nice, France.
