The phosphors were synthesized using a high-temperature solid-state method, ensuring robust incorporation of Eu ions into the host lattice. Comprehensive analyses were performed, including X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy, confirming the phase purity, crystallinity, morphology, and elemental composition of the phosphors.

In this study, we have investigated microbial communities structure and function using high throughput amplicon sequencing and whole metagenomic sequencing of DNA extracted from different depths of a plastic-laden landfill site. With diverse taxonomic groups inhabiting the plastic-rich soil, our study demonstrates the remarkable adaptability of microbes to use this new substrate as a carbon source. FTIR spectroscopic analysis of soil indicated degradation of plastic as perceived from the carbonyl index of 0.

Imatinib, an anticancer drug, was successfully loaded into NPs, and its release was investigated under different pH conditions. In this study, two novel chalcone-derived 1,2,3-triazole-appended positional isomers (probe 6 and probe 9) were synthesized the 'CuAAC' (Cu(i) - catalysed alkyne azide cycloaddition) methodology for the purpose of metal ion detection. The synthesized probes underwent characterization utilizing standard spectroscopic methodologies including FTIR, NMR (H and C), and mass spectrometry. Subsequently, the sensing capabilities of these probes were explored using UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, wherein their selective recognition potential was established for Pb(ii) and Cu(ii), both of which can pose serious health hazards when prevalent in the environment above permissible limits.

This paper investigates the synthesis and luminescence characteristics of Tm/Tb/Eu co-doped SrNbO (SNB) phosphors as potential candidates for white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs). The study explores the energy transfer mechanisms and color-tunable characteristics of these phosphors. Xanthine oxidase, a molybdo-flavoenzyme, and an isoform of xanthine dehydrogenase both exist as xanthine oxidoreductase and are responsible for purine catabolism. Xanthine oxidase is more involved in pathological conditions when extensively modulated. Elevation of xanthine oxidase is not only the prime cause of gout but is also responsible for various hyperuricemia associated pathological conditions like diabetes, chronic wounds, cardiovascular disorders, Alzheimer's disease, Currently available xanthine oxidase inhibitors in clinical practice (allopurinol, febuxostat and topiroxostat) suffer from fatal side effects that pose a serious problem to the healthcare system, raising global emergency to develop novel, potent and safer xanthine oxidase inhibitors.

Herein, a 1,2,3-triazole derivative (CBT), synthesized using the Copper(i) catalyzed Alkyne Azide Cycloaddition (CuAAC) procedure, based on a chalcone skeleton has been reported, that was implemented as an effective sensor for Pb(ii) and Cu(ii) ions. The synthesized CBT was characterized using spectroscopic techniques such as FTIR, NMR (H and C), and mass spectrometry. The sensing behaviour of CBT was analyzed using UV-Vis spectroscopy, demonstrating selective sensing for Pb(ii) and Cu(ii) ions, competitively.

A facile one-step catalyst free methodology has been developed for the regioselective functionalization of 4,6-diphenylpyrimidin-2(1)-ones under mild conditions. Selectivity towards the -regioisomer was achieved by using CsCO in DMF without use of any coupling reagents. A total of 14 regioselective -alkylated 4,6-diphenylpyrimidines were synthesized in 81-91% yield.

Herein, we demonstrate for the first time the synthesis of ultra-stable, spherical, nematic liquid crystal (LC) droplets of narrow size polydispersity coated by sustainable, biodegradable, plant-based materials that trigger a typical bipolar-to-radial configurational transition in dynamic response to chemical and biological analytes. Specifically, a highly soluble polymer, potato protein (PoP) and a physically-crosslinked potato protein microgel (PoPM) of ∼100 nm in diameter, prepared from the PoP, a byproduct of the starch industry, were compared for their ability to coat LC droplets. Although both PoP and PoPM were capable of reducing the interfacial tension between water and -tetradecane <30 mN m, PoPM-coated LC droplets showed better stability than the PoP-coated droplets a Pickering-like mechanism.

Copper(i) catalyzed alkyne azide cycloaddition (CuAAC), the quintessential example of 'click chemistry', provides an adaptable and adequate platform for the synthesis of nanogels for sustained drug release at targeted sites because of their better biocompatibility. The coupling of drugs, carried out various synthetic routes including CuAAC, into long-chain polymeric forms like nanogels has exhibited considerable assurance in therapeutic advancements and intracellular drug delivery due to the progression of water solubility, evacuation of precocious drug release, and improved upthrust of the pharmacokinetics of the nanogels, thereby rendering them as better and efficient drug carriers. The inefficiency of drug transmission to the target areas due to the resistance of complex biological barriers is a major hurdle that impedes the therapeutic translation of nanogels.
