Purpose: The pharmacokinetics of valproic acid have been evaluated in a variety of populations however, the comparison in two different populations was yet to be reported. This study is aimed to compare the pharmacokinetics of valproic acid in Pakistani and South Korean patients.
Method: The therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) data of valproic acid from 92 Pakistani patients with 218 samples was combined with the data of 99 South Korean patients with 335 samples in order to form a pooled dataset of 191 patients with 553 samples.

Rumination syndrome is a functional gastrointestinal disorder with effortless, non-projectile regurgitation seen mostly in paediatric population and seems to be an uncommon gastrointestinal disorder due to lack of awareness among physicians. Here we report three such cases in adult patients that were labeled "refractory vomiting". No such case has been reported from Pakistan which makes this a unique case series.

Background: This cross-sectional study is aimed at evaluating the association of mediastinal lymphadenopathy with COVID-19 prognosis in severe cases. Place and Duration of Study: Department of Medicine, Pak Emirates Military Hospital, Pakistan, from June to July 2020.
Methods: One hundred and fifty (150) laboratory-confirmed SARS CoV-2 infected, severe cases in Intensive Care Unit/ High Dependency Unit were included.
Background: Pregnancy poses some stress on normal homeostasis of the human body and brings changes in the body which predisposes the individual towards various pathological conditions as well.
Objective: Objective of the study was to determine the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) changes and clinical symptoms associated with these changes among patients of eclampsia and preeclampsia managed at tertiary care unit. It was a cross-sectional study, conducted at Gynaecology and obstetrics department Pak Emirates Military Hospital (PEMH) Rawalpindi.

Hepatitis-associated aplastic anaemia (HAAA) is an uncommon variant of aplastic anaemia which may present as acute or chronic, mild and transient or fulminant disease. The development of aplastic anaemia is usually fatal if not treated in time, with mortality rate being as high as 85%. A high index of clinical suspicion is required for the diagnosis and exclusion of acquired forms of aplastic anaemia.
