Post-orthopedic surgery patients need to undergo a recovery process with immobilization to minimize pain or swelling. Maximum care through early mobilization intervention can accelerate the return of body function and minimize medical complications. This literature review aims to determine early mobilization-based interventions that can be applied to post-orthopedic surgery patients.

Background: Monocytes are evolutionarily preserved innate immune cells that play essential roles in immune response regulation. Three activated monocyte subsets-classical (CD14++CD16-), intermediate (CD14++CD16+), and nonclassical (CD14+CD16++)-are associated with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) progression. This study aims to determine the association of monocyte subsets with SLE disease activity.

Background: Many cancer survivors experience a wide range of symptoms closely linked to psychological problems, highlighting the need for psychological treatment, one of the most popular being mindfulness. The use of the internet has greatly increased in the last decade, and has encouraged the use of remote-based interventions to help people living with cancer access treatment remotely via devices.
Objective: The primary aim of this study was to explore the efficacy of internet-based mindfulness interventions on the physical symptoms of people living with cancer, where physical symptoms are defined as distressing somatic experiences (eg fatigue, insomnia, and pain) regardless of the underlying cause.

The deposition of monosodium urate (MSU) crystals within joint spaces produces a painful inflammatory condition known as gout, a specific form of arthritis. The condition calls for a combined curative and preventive management model. A new development in the approach to gout is that of NLRP3-targeted biologic agents, such as monoclonal therapies, to provide more accurate treatment by blocking specific pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Objective: To estimate the prevalence of organ damage (damage) and flare and to examine longitudinal associations between flares and subsequent damage accrual, in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
Methods: Patients enrolled in the Asia Pacific Lupus Collaboration cohort with ≥3 years of prospectively captured data were studied. Flares were assessed at routine visits, while damage ((Systemic Lupus International Collaborating Clinics/American College of Rheumatology) Damage Index) was assessed annually.

Background: Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) often stems from a hypercoagulable state that exacerbates conditions such as antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and thrombophilia, leading to early placental issues. Although treatments such as low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) and low-dose aspirin (LDA) are used, outcomes vary. This study proposes using first-trimester Doppler ultrasound - specifically, uterine radial artery resistance index (URa-RI) at 8 weeks and uterine artery pulsatility index (Ut-PI) with pre-diastolic notching (Ut-notch) at 11-13 weeks - to better predict successful pregnancies and reduce risks of adverse outcomes.

Introduction: Urinary tract infections are prevalent among pregnant women and can lead to serious maternal and neonatal complications. Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, a leading cause of maternal morbidity, may be associated with urinary tract infections. This study investigates whether bacteriuria detected via routine urinalysis, a standard screening in Indonesia, contributes to hypertension risk during pregnancy, aiming to enhance clinical management and screening protocols.

Purpose: Improving drug solubility is crucial in formulating poorly water-soluble drugs, especially for oral administration. The incorporation of drugs into mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN) is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry to improve physical stability and solubility. Therefore, this study aimed to elucidate the mechanism of poorly water-soluble drugs within MSN, as well as evaluate the impact on the dissolution and physical stability.

BACKGROUND Vulvar melanoma during pregnancy is exceptionally rare. Hormonal and immunological changes in pregnancy have raised concerns about the potential for accelerated melanoma progression and poorer maternal outcomes. This case report describes an unusual presentation of vulvar melanoma in a pregnant patient, which rapidly progressed despite previous treatments, but resulted in a favorable fetal outcome.

The APLAR has published a set of recommendations on the management of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in 2021. The current consensus paper supplements and updates specifically the treatment of lupus nephritis (LN) according to two rounds of Delphi exercise from members of the APLAR SLE special interest group, invited nephrologists, histopathologists, and lupus nephritis patients. For initial treatment of LN, we recommend a combination of glucocorticoids (GCs) with cyclophosphamide (CYC), mycophenolate mofetil (MMF), or the calcineurin inhibitors (CNIs) as first-line options.

This study introduces an innovative approach to image classification that uses Gaussian copulas with an Empirical Cumulative Distribution Function (ECDF) approach. The strategic use of distribution functions as feature descriptors simplifies the approach and enables a better understanding of the correlation structure between features in the image. This approach helps the model understand the contextual relationships between different parts of the image, resulting in a more abstract representation than a direct representation of individual pixel values.
