Introduction: Uretero-enteric anastomosis with concomitant neobladder/augmentation/conduit becomes necessary when the bladder is unavailable or unfit for reimplantation or the ureters are short after high diversion or resection of lower ureteric pathology. End stage renal disease (ESRD) patients on hemodialysis (HD) have an increased oxidative stress, with a high risk of atherosclerosis and other co-morbid conditions. Recent studies have suggested that myeloperoxidase (MPO)-mediated oxidative stress may play a role in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular complications in dialysis patients. Furthermore, dialysis treatment 'per se' can aggravate oxidative stress.

Kikuchi Fujimoto's disease is a rare, self limiting disorder characterized by fever and cervical lymphadenitis. It is often an incidental finding in a patient suspected to have tuberculosis or lymphoproliferative disorder. We diagnosed this disease in a young 23-year-old female who was suffering from prolonged fever, cervical lymphadenopathy, anemia, leucopenia and mild splenomegaly; based on histopathological study of the excised lymphnode.

Microbial profile of neonatal infection in Coimbatore.
