COVID-19, a highly infectious respiratory disease a used by SARS virus, has killed millions of people across many countries. To enhance quick and accurate diagnosis of COVID-19, chest X-ray (CXR) imaging methods were commonly utilized. Identifying the infection manually by radio imaging, on the other hand, was considered, extremely difficult due to the time commitment and significant risk of human error.

In this work, Pure ZnO nanoparticles and a nanocomposite of PbO: ZnO were prepared by the flame synthesis method, and was analyzed for structural, morphological, optical, elemental, and biocompatibility studies. The structural analysis revealed a hexagonal structure for ZnO and an Orthorhombic structure for PbO: ZnO nanocomposite. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image showed a Nano-Sponge-like surface morphology for PbO: ZnO nanocomposite and energy dispersive spectra (EDS) confirmed the absence of undesired impurities.

The use of proper mitigation strategies to control the impact of microfiber pollution is need of the hour requirement. Though several laundry aids were developed to reduce the environmental impact caused by synthetic microfiber, due to the lack of awareness among the public, their effectiveness was limited. Hence, the mitigation measures at the production stage of textile materials can be a proactive solution with greater effectiveness in mitigating the issue at different stages rather than focussing only on domestic laundering.

Durability and reliability are the key factors that prevent fuel cells from successful implementation in automotive sector. Dynamic load change is a common and frequent condition that the fuel cell has to undergo in automotive applications. Fuel cells are more sensitive to changes in load conditions and degrade based on load variation representing idling, rated power, and high power operating conditions.

Reflecting on the difficulty of finding the evidence of latent fingerprints on wet and rough surfaces, scientists need to visualise those fingermarks without any background interference and stable adhesion of visualising material over the fingermark residues. To stabilize the interaction with the fingermarks, the synthesized nanoparticles were conjugated with a highly adhesive biopolymer, Mussel Adhesive Protein (MAP) which can effectively interact with fingerprint deposits. Rare earth metal, europium oxide and nanoparticles were used as a visualisation material to get high contrast and reduced background interference-based fingerprints.
