Cryptosporidium has gained much attention as a major cause of diarrhea worldwide. Here, we present the first structure of H-2K complexed with a decapeptide from Cryptosporidium parvum Gp40/15 protein (Gp40/15-VTF10). In contrast to all published structures, the aromatic residue P3-Phe of Gp40/15-VTF10 is anchored in pocket C rather than the canonical Y/F at P5 or P6 reported for octapeptides and nonapeptides.

Gastric cancer (GC) is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, and therapeutic options for advanced GC are limited. Here, we observe that intratumoral microbiota controls chemokine expression, which in turn recruits immune cells into the tumor, and that immune infiltration is strongly associated with patient survival and disease attributes. Furthermore, microbiota regulation of chemokines is differentiated in GC patients with different survival risks.

Itaconate is a metabolite catalyzed by cis-aconitate decarboxylase (ACOD1), which is mainly produced by activated macrophages and secreted into the extracellular environment to exert complex bioactivity. In the tumor microenvironment, itaconate is concentrated and induces an immunosuppressive response. However, whether itaconate can be taken up by tumor cells and its mechanism of action remain largely unclear.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) due to abundant apertures, adjustable components, and multi-purpose structures have broad application prospects in supercapacitors. However, its low conductivity, poor stability, and difficulty growing evenly on the conductive substrate limit the electrochemical energy storage performance. Herein, with FeCoNi-OH nanosheets serving as the precursors, the trimetallic FeCoNi-MOF (FCNM) multilayer structure is successfully synthesized on activated carbon cloth (AC), and its optimal growth state (FCNM/AC-12 h) is achieved by regulating the reaction time.

Liver fibrosis is a common pathological stage in the development of several chronic liver diseases, and early intervention can effectively reverse the developing process. Excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) can promote the activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs), but existing treatments have not addressed this problem. In this study, different metal-based mesoporous polydopamine (MPDA) was prepared by the soft template method, and their free radical scavenging abilities, as well as the efficacy and safety of the carriers were investigated, so as to select Cu-coordinated MPDA (CMP) as the optimal nanocarrier.

Objective: Steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEPs) rely on the photic driving response to encode electroencephalogram (EEG) signals stably and efficiently. However, the user experience of the traditional stimulation with high-contrast flickers urgently needs to be improved. In this study, we introduce a novel paradigm of grid stimulation with weak flickering perception, distinguished by a markedly lower proportion of stimulation area in the overall pattern.

Solid waste is one of the primary contributors to environmental pollution currently, it is crucial to enhance the prevention and control of solid waste pollution in environmental management. The effectiveness of the second stage of purification in the industrial zinc hydrometallurgy is determined by the concentration of cobalt ion. Manual testing and monitoring of cobalt ion concentration are time consuming and costly, and prone to delays, which can result in discharge of cobalt ion concentration that does not meet the standards, leading to water pollution.
