This paper introduces a systematic approach to the design of Direct Current-to-Digital Converter (DIDC) specifically engineered to overcome the limitations of traditional current measurement methodologies in System-on-Chip (SoC) designs. The proposed DIDC addresses critical challenges such as high power consumption, large area requirements, and the need for intermediate analog signals. By incorporating a current mirror in a cascode topology and managing the current across multiple binary-sized branches with the Successive Approximation Register (SAR) logic, the design achieves precise current measurement.

Oxygen (δO) and hydrogen (δH) stable isotope ratios are tightly coupled in precipitation and, albeit damped, in leaf water, but are often decoupled in tree-ring cellulose. The environmental and physiological conditions in which this decoupling occurs are not yet well understood. We investigated the relationships between δO and δH and tree-ring width (TRW), tree crown volume, tree age and climate in silver fir and Douglas-fir and found substantial differences between δO and δH.

Background And Purpose: Dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs) exhibit varied clinical manifestations, and high-grade cases are associated with both a risk of hemorrhage and (in certain cases) dementia. Less known, however, is the association between DAVF and more subtle cognitive changes, which might not be clinically apparent without formal neurocognitive testing. This study prospectively assesses baseline cognitive changes in patients with unruptured DAVFs and looks at the effects of treatment on any such changes.

Background: Transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) is emerging in the context of annular calcification (valve-in-MAC; ViMAC), failing surgical mitral annuloplasty (mitral-valve-in-ring; MViR) and failing mitral bioprosthesis (mitral-valve-in-valve; MViV). A notorious risk of TMVR is neo left ventricular outflow tract (neo-LVOT) obstruction. Three-dimensional computational models (3DCM) are derived from multi-slice computed tomography (MSCT) and aim to predict neo-LVOT area after TMVR.

Mice lacking monoacylglycerol acyltransferase 2 (mMGAT2) are resistant to diet-induced fatty liver, suggesting hMOGAT2 inhibition is a viable option for treating metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD)/metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). We generated humanized hMOGAT2 mice (HuMgat2) for use in pre-clinical studies testing the efficacy of hMOGAT2 inhibitors for treating MASLD/MASH. HuMgat2 mice developed MASH when fed a steatotic diet.

Recent advancements in phase-change memory (PCM) technology have predominantly stemmed from material-level designs, which have led to fast and durable device performances. However, there remains a pressing need to address the enormous energy consumption through device-level electrothermal solutions. Thus, the concept of a 3D heater-all-around (HAA) PCM fabricated along the vertical nanoscale hole of dielectric/metal/dielectric stacks is proposed.
