During the development and progression of lung cancer, cell metabolism function is altered. Thus, cells rely on aerobic glycolysis and abnormal lipid and amino acid metabolism to obtain energy and nutrients for growth, proliferation and drug resistance. Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a class of non-coding RNAs, serve important biological roles in the growth and development of tumors.

Cancer cells exhibit altered metabolism and energetics, prominently reprogramming lipid metabolism to support tumor growth and progression, making it a promising target for cancer therapy. However, traditional genetic and pharmaceutical approaches for disrupting lipid metabolism face challenges due to the adaptability of tumor metabolism and potential side effects on normal tissues. Here, we present a bacteria-based bioorthogonal platform combining transition metal catalysts and to disrupt the flexible lipid homeostasis in tumors.

Separators, regulating the ion transport channels between electrodes, are crucial for maintaining the properties of electrochemical batteries. However, sluggish ion transport and desolvation kinetics in aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) cause uneven ion flux at the separator-electrode interface, accelerating Zn dendrite growth. Herein, we systematically dissect ionic favorable hydrogen bond chemistry in a hybrid separator engineered through rational boron nitride (BN) doping into polyacrylonitrile (PAN) separators.

This transformation was characterized by a broad substrate scope, superior functional group tolerance, and high efficiency for selective C-C bond cleavage and was then followed by alkynyl-aryl cross coupling. Mechanism studies indicated that the propargyl alcohols underwent β-H elimination to form aldehydes rather than having undergone β-C elimination.

Bioactive dehydro--viniferin was synthesized through an efficient and practical eight-step route, achieving an overall yield of 27%. The synthesis process involves an intramolecular cyclization and dehalogenation a metal-halogen exchange, producing 3-arylbenzofuran, with the di-iodinated -aryloxyketone serving as the key intermediate. Long reaction times and the use of excess reagent -PrMgCl·LiCl facilitate metal-halogen exchange cyclization and dehalogenation.

Liver cirrhosis is a critical stage in the progression of various chronic liver diseases, often leading to severe complications such as ascites, hepatic encephalopathy, and a high mortality rate, and it thus poses a serious threat to patient life. The activation of hepatic stellate cells is a central driver of disease progression. Cellular autophagy, a lysosome-mediated degradation process, plays a key role in maintaining cellular function and dynamic homeostasis.

Flexible aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) are considered one of the most attractive flexible devices owing to their high theoretical capacity, low cost, and high security. However, the formation of Zn dendrites and the poor flexibility of the Zn material greatly impede the application of wearable AZIBs. Herein, by transferring graphene onto the surface of polyethylene terephthalate-indium tin oxide (PET-ITO-G), a substrate combining excellent flexibility and dendrite suppression ability was prepared.

Cardiac remodelling, a pathological process induced by various cardiovascular diseases, remains a significant challenge in clinical practice. Here, we investigate the potential of Danuglipron (PF-06882961, PF), a novel oral glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist, in alleviating pressure overload (PO)-induced cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis. Using both in vivo and in vitro models, we demonstrate that PF treatment (1 mg/kg/day, orally for 8 weeks) significantly attenuates aortic banding-induced cardiac dysfunction and pathological remodelling in mice.
