Conventional neoadjuvant chemotherapy provides limited benefit for patients with resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Recently, neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy (NCIT) has transformed the perioperative management of NSCLC by priming systemic anti-tumor immunity before surgery, yet it remains ineffective for at least 50% of patients. Through single-cell sequencing analysis of our NCIT cohort, we identify that antigen-presenting cancer-associated fibroblasts (apCAFs) can impede the efficacy of NCIT.

The application of nuclear energy and the frequent occurrence of nuclear contamination have made radiation safety a major challenge to global public health. As a radiation-sensitive target organ, bone marrow is susceptible to both acute and chronic damage effects of ionizing radiation on the hematopoietic system. Researchers have demonstrated that radiation disrupts hematopoietic homeostasis through direct damage to hematopoietic stem cells, which inhibits hematopoietic regeneration indirectly through damage to hematopoietic progenitor cells and their downstream cell populations.

Photodynamic therapy has become a promising treatment modality against many diseases, but its dilemma-the intrinsic hypoxia of solid tumors and the high oxygen dependence for generation of cytotoxic species-has seriously hampered its practical translation. Herein a binary supramolecular nanocarrier, which is composed of fluorocarbon chain-appended β-cyclodextrin as an oxygen carrier and adamantane-grafted hyaluronic acid as a cell-targeting agent, can deliver different types of photosensitizers by multiple noncovalent interactions. Superior to the alkylated counterpart, the fluorinated amphiphilic β-cyclodextrin can spontaneously form a nanoparticulate assembly and exhibit high oxygen-enrichment performance.

Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) have been successful in delivering nucleic acids like siRNA and mRNA, but face challenges in protein delivery due to limited protein encapsulation and endosome escape. In this study, a family of LNPs is developed with robust high efficiency in addressing the multiple barriers in cytosolic protein delivery by incorporating clinically approved ionizable lipids into traditional cationic LNPs. The combination of cationic and ionizable lipids enables efficient protein binding and endosomal escape.

Lead-free halide double perovskite nanocrystals have emerged as one of the most promising alternatives to lead halide perovskite nanocrystals due to their non-toxicity, high stability, and outstanding optoelectronic properties. However, conventional synthesis methods often result in impurities due to increased constituent elements. In this study, an efficient water-oil biphasic interface-driven approach is introduced for synthesizing lead-free double perovskite nanocrystals, enabling controlled structural transformations from 0D to 2D and 3D structures.

Multi-principal element alloys (MPEA) demonstrate exceptional stability during rapid solidification, making them ideal candidates for additive manufacturing and other high-design-flexibility techniques. Unexpectedly, MPEA failure often mimics that of conventional metals, with strain localization along phase or grain boundaries leading to typical crack initiation. Most strategies aim at reducing strain localization either suppress the formation of high-energy sites or dissipate energy at crack tips to enhance toughness, rarely achieving a synergy of both.
