Although grade is a well-recognised prognostic factor for endometrioid endometrial cancer (EEC), in more studies grade 1 (G1) and grade 2 (G2) EEC are combined and compared together with grade 3 (G3) tumours. The aim of our study is to separately investigate the outcomes, prognostic factors and recurrence patterns of G2 EEC and whether the differentiation between G1 and G2 EEC is clinically useful. we retrospectively reviewed 523 patients with EEC treated with primary surgery over a decade (March 2010-January 2020) at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, focusing on those with G2 disease.

Yet current approaches to consent often ignore the ways in which the exercise of autonomy is deeply epistemically dependent.In this paper, we draw on philosophical descriptions of autonomy 'scaffolding' and apply them to informed consent in medicine.

Ethnicity and breast cancer incidence in over 329 500 women in England in 2011-2019.

Introduction: Previous studies have reported an overall lower breast cancer incidence in women from Asian and Black backgrounds compared with white women. Age standardised and age specific incidence rates in the largest specific ethnicities within Asian and Black groups are not reported.

Materials And Methods: Data on population size and the age distribution of women in five ethnic groups of interest (white British, Black African, Black Caribbean, Indian and Pakistani) were extracted from the Office for National Statistics 2001, 2011 and 2021 census data for England.

Conserved patterns of transcriptional dysregulation, heterogeneity, and cell states in clear cell kidney cancer.

Clear cell kidney cancers are characterized both by conserved oncogenic driver events and by marked intratumor genetic and phenotypic heterogeneity, which help drive tumor progression, metastasis, and resistance to therapy. How these are reflected in transcriptional programs within the cancer and stromal cell components remains an important question with the potential to drive novel therapeutic approaches to treating cancer. To better understand these programs, we perform single-cell transcriptomics on 75 multi-regional biopsies from kidney tumors and normal kidney.

In response to an international request for assistance from the Turkish government, the United Kingdom (UK) government deployed an Emergency Medical Team (EMT) Type 1 to provide outpatient care.

We evaluated the structural validity of the Patient-Rated Wrist and Hand Evaluation using psychometric techniques, then developed computerized adaptive testing algorithms. Factor analysis found two health constructs consistent with 'Pain' and 'Motor Function'.

This systematic review evaluates the long-term effectiveness of scleral lenses in improving visual outcomes, patient satisfaction, and safety in patients with keratoconus. A systematic search of six databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, Cochrane Library, and MEDLINE) was performed following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The inclusion criteria included studies with more than or equal to three months of follow-up, included a minimum of 20 keratoconus patients, published after year 2020 and outcomes reporting visual acuity, comfort or quality of life.

Background: Cutaneous melanoma (CM) is the leading cause of skin cancer mortality with associated high healthcare costs. Up-to-date reporting of epidemiological trends for CM is required to project future trends, assess the burden of disease and aid evaluation of new diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative strategies.

To date, comprehensive global assessments of extinction risk have not included any speciose groups primarily living in freshwaters. Organic semiconducting polymers play a pivotal role in the development of field-effect transistors (OFETs) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), owing to their cost-effectiveness, structural versatility, and solution processability. However, achieving polymers with both high charge carrier mobility (μ) and photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield (Φ) remains a challenge. In this work, we present the design and synthesis of a novel donor-acceptor π-conjugated polymer, TTIF-BT, featuring a di-Thioeno[3,2-b] ThioenoIndeno[1,2-b] Fluorene (TTIF) backbone as the donor component.

Diagnosis and management of monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance: A British Society for Haematology good practice paper.

This guideline provides consensus opinion on the investigations required for people presenting with suspected monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance to both nephrology and haematology physicians. The guideline discusses the principles of treating a patient with MGRS and provides recommendations for both supportive management and haematological therapy.
