The assessment of the discoloration caused by calcium hydroxide, triple antibiotic paste, and chlorhexidine gel when used as intra-canal medicaments in teeth undergoing root canal treatment is of interest. The study measured the discoloration over seven and fourteen days using a spectrophotometer. After obtaining ethical clearance, ninety anterior teeth requiring root canal therapy were selected based on eligibility criteria.

The smear layer removal capability of different instrumentation techniques on the mesio-buccal root canals of maxillary first molars is of interest to dentists. Sixty extracted maxillary first molars with fully developed apices, curved root canals, and curvatures between 30 to 45 degrees were selected. The teeth were divided into four groups (n=15) based on the instrumentation technique used.
