This systematic review aims to investigate the efficacy of kangaroo mother care (KMC) in term and late-preterm babies. Based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) recommendations, seven studies were analyzed, which covered a wide range of outcomes, from the post-vaccination serum bilirubin level and pain during the vaccination to the prevention of hypothermia and long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes. Results point out that KMC might come with some advantages such as the reduction of neonatal bilirubin levels, a painless and quicker vaccination process, and better prevention of hypothermia.

Background Advances in cancer treatment have markedly improved survival rates but have also heightened morbidity due to treatment-related side effects. Despite this, the literature remains scarce on predicting the incidence of acute cardiac toxicity resulting from chemotherapy. We conducted a prospective evaluation to assess the incidence, timing, clinical correlates, global longitudinal strain (GLS), and response to heart failure (HF) therapy in patients experiencing cardiotoxicity.

Background: Long COVID syndrome, characterized by symptoms like dyspnea, fatigue, and cough, persisting for weeks to months after the initial SARS-CoV-2 infection, poses significant challenges globally. Studies suggest a potential higher risk among females aged 40-50, with symptoms affecting individuals regardless of initial COVID-19 severity, underscoring the need for comprehensive understanding and management.
Methods: A prospective longitudinal study was conducted at a teaching tertiary care institute in Central India, involving COVID-19 patients from May 2020 to September 2021.

In the face of recent advances in Cervical cancer (CC) treatment, therapeutic and surgical procedures for CC management are still inadequate. In the current study for the first time Andrographolide (Andro) has been explored for its multitarget therapeutic efficacy on NF-kB, COX-2, and PI3K/AKT expressions together in CC. The expression levels of NF-kB, COX-2, PI3K and PTEN in the CC patient samples, both at mRNA and protein levels have shown significant association with poor survival and increased tumor aggressiveness.

This communication conceptualizes and characterizes the phenomenon of dialysis distress, commonly encountered in persons living with end stage kidney disease on dialysis. Dialysis distress can be defined as an emotional state, marked by extreme apprehension, anxiety, despair and/or dejection, due to a perceived inability to cope with the challenges and demands of living with dialysis. This concept can be extrapolated to persons who undergo renal replacement therapy such as renal transplant.

Background: Sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) have been used for almost a decade and have proven to be effective not only in managing Type 2 diabetes (T2D), but their cardio and renal protective features make them very useful in managing patients with risk of multiple comorbidities. This systematic review was undertaken by the authors because there is no evidence currently available in India that has studied the suitability of SGLT2i as a first-line agent in patients newly diagnosed with T2D in India.
Materials And Methods: First, literature was searched to identify features that are considered important when deciding on a first-line agent for managing T2D.
