Cyclophosphamide (CTX) is the most commonly used effective alkylating drug in cancer treatment, but its use is restricted because its toxic side effect causes testicular toxicity. CTX disrupts the tissue redox and antioxidant balance and the resulting tissue damage causes oxidative stress. In our study based on this problem, kefir against CTX-induced oxidative stress and testicular toxicity were investigated.

Objectives: Cribriform glands are linked to poorer outcomes in prostate adenocarcinoma. We aimed to assess the prognostic role of the percentage of cribriform glands and the size of the largest invasive cribriform gland in Gleason score 7 prostate adenocarcinomas.

Methods: The presence, percentage, and size of the invasive cribriform glands were investigated and their association with prognostic factors were assessed in 177 Grade Groups 2 and 3 prostate adenocarcinomas.

Background And Aim: Urinary incontinence is an important problem with potentially adverse effects on the psychological, social and personality development of children. Today, with the developing technology, the use of information and communication technologies such as wearable technology, message services and mobile applications has become widespread in solving health problems. In this study, it was aimed to develop a mobile application that facilitates the follow-up of children, increases their compliance with treatment and ensures the continuity of communication between them and the health worker.

Effective degradation of bentazone by two-dimensional and three-phase, three-dimensional electro-oxidation system: kinetic studies and optimization using ANN.

Bentazone is a broad-leaved weed-specific herbicide in the pesticide industry. This study focused on removing bentazone from water using three different methods: a two and three-dimensional electro-oxidation process (2D/EOP and 3D/EOP) with a fluid-type reactor arrangement using tetraethylenepentamine-loaded particle electrodes and an adsorption method. Additionally, we analysed the effects of two types of supporting electrolytes  (NaSO and NaCl) on the degradation process.

Surface roughness of different types of resin composites after artificial aging procedures: an in vitro study.

Background: The temperature changes, chemical agents, and brushing activity that resin composite restorations are exposed to in the oral environment can cause changes in surface roughness. In this study, the aim was to investigate in vitro the clinical one-year surface roughness changes of different types of composites (flowable or conventional) from the same companies by subjecting them to immersion in solutions, brushing, and thermal cycling procedures to simulate intraoral conditions.

Methods: Four different resin composite brands were included in the study using both their conventional (Charisma Smart, 3M Filtek Ultimate Universal, Omnichroma, Beautifil II) and flowable resin composites (Charisma Flow, 3M Filtek Ultimate Flowable, Omnichroma Flow, Beautifil Flow Plus F00), giving 4 groups with 2 types of resin composite in each.

Severe haematological involvement in children with systemic lupus erythematosus and clinical associations.

Objectives: To investigate the severe haematological involvement in children with SLE and assess its clinical associations, treatments, outcome and damage accrual.

Methods: The medical charts of children with SLE in whom haematological involvement was observed were reviewed. Severe haematological indices were defined as autoimmune haemolytic anaemia with a haemoglobin concentration < 8 g/dL, thrombocyte count < 30 000/µL, and neutrophil count < 500/µL.

The main goal of our study is to demonstrate the applicability of the PPy-cryogel-modified electrodes for electrochemical detection of DNA. First, a polysaccharide-based cryogel was synthesized. This cryogel was then used as a template for chemical polypyrrole synthesis.

The aim of this article is to review safer orthognathic surgery. The literature survey was performed in PubMed, EBSCO, UpToDate, ProQuest Central databases of Kırıkkale University, and Google and Google Scholar databases. Patients with dentofacial skeletal defects may benefit from orthognathic surgery, which entails surgically modifying parts of the facial skeleton to restore the right anatomic and functional relationship.

The theoretical structure of the scale was based on the Radical Feminist Theory, Broken Windows Theory, and Theory of Change. A deep learning approach to detection of oral cancer lesions from intra oral patient images: A preliminary retrospective study.

Introduction: Oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCC) seen in the oral cavity are a category of diseases for which dentists may diagnose and even cure. This study evaluated the performance of diagnostic computer software developed to detect oral cancer lesions in intra-oral retrospective patient images.

Materials And Methods: Oral cancer lesions were labeled with CranioCatch labeling program (CranioCatch, Eskişehir, Turkey) and polygonal type labeling method on a total of 65 anonymous retrospective intraoral patient images of oral mucosa that were diagnosed with oral cancer histopathologically by incisional biopsy from individuals in our clinic.

Musinous cystic neoplasia mimicking hydatid cyst in the liver: Two rare cases.

Mucinous cystic neoplasm of the liver (MCN-L) is a rare tumor which accounts for less than 5% of all liver cysts. Although they are considered to be "benign cysts" radiologically and clinically because of their slow growth, they are considered as premalignant. We present two radiologically misdiagnosed cases that operated in a short time range, in order to increase awareness for these rare tumors.

The effect of web-designed education on medication adherence, asthma control and fatigue in patients with asthma: A randomized controlled trial.

Aims: This study aimed to determine the effect of web-designed education developed for asthma patients on drug adherence, asthma control and fatigue.

Methods: This randomized controlled trial was conducted between August 2021 and January 2022 with 200 individuals suffering from poor asthma control who participated in web-designed education. After the intervention, the asthma patients were followed up for 6 weeks to measure Medication Adherence Report Scale (MARS), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Asthma Fatigue Scale (CAFS), Asthma Control Test (ACT) and Inhalation Devices Usage Techniques Knowledge Test (IDUSTKT).

A study on the efficacy of combined surgery in advanced-stage congenital cholesteatoma with canal-wall-up surgery.

Purpose: This study aimed to compare the outcomes of patients with advanced congenital cholesteatoma who underwent microscopic or endoscope-combined Canal Wall Up Tympanomastoidectomy (CWUT) in our clinic and to determine the contribution of endoscope use in reducing recurrence/residual rates.

Methods: In this retrospective study, the data of individuals who underwent microscopic or combined endoscopic surgery between 2008 and 2022 in our clinic were scanned from the database. Demographic data, preoperative computed tomography (CT) findings, preoperative and postoperative hearing results, operation and intraoperative status of the ossicles, duration of surgery, postoperative follow-up period, recurrence and residual disease status during follow-up were investigated.
