Objective: To compare the clinical effectiveness of cortical button (CB), cross-pin (CP) and compression with interference screws (IS) fixation techniques in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using hamstring graft.
Methods: Studies were systematically retrieved from PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library and Web of Science up to May 20, 2021. Primary outcomes were KT-1000 assessment, International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) score A or B, Lachman's test, pivot-shift test, visual analogue scale (VAS) score, Lysholm score, Tegner score, and Cincinnati Knee Score.

Osteosarcoma is the most prevalent form of primary bone malignancy affecting adolescents. Secretion-associated Ras-related GTPase 1A (SAR1A) is a key regulator of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) homeostasis, but its role as a regulator of osteosarcoma metastasis has yet to be clarified. Bioinformatics analyses revealed SAR1A and RHOA to be upregulated in osteosarcoma patients, with the upregulation of these genes being associated with poor 5-year metastasis-free survival rates.

Elevated intraspinal pressure (ISP) following traumatic spinal cord injury (tSCI) can be an important factor for secondary SCI that may result in greater tissue damage and functional deficits. Our present study aimed to investigate the dynamic changes in ISP after different degrees of acute compression SCI in rabbits with closed canals and explore its influence on spinal cord pathophysiology. Objective: To establish a predictive scoring system for proximal junctional kyphosis (PJK) after posterior internal fixation in elderly patients with chronic osteoporotic vertebral fracture (COVF).
Materials And Methods: The medical records of 88 patients who were diagnosed with COVF and underwent posterior internal fixation in our hospital from January 2013 to December 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. The included patients were divided into two groups according to whether they suffered PJK after surgery, namely, the PJK group (25 cases) and non-PJK group (63 cases).

Background: This Mendelian randomization (MR) study aimed to explore the causal relationship between polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) and bone mineral density (BMD).
Methods: We conducted a two-sample MR analysis to figure out if there is any causal effect of PUFAs on BMD through the summary data from the genome-wide association study (GWAS). Relationships were evaluated through inverse variance weighted (IVW), MR-Egger, weighted median, and maximum likelihood methods.
Osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is a disorder that can cause collapse of the femoral head. The damage and dysfunction of femoral head microvascular endothelial cells are related to the pathogenesis of glucocorticoid-induced ONFH. Reports suggest that vitamin B can promote osteoblast differentiation and prevent low bone mineral density and prevent reperfusion oxidative injury.

Background And Aims: This study was designed to explore the effects of Yes-associated protein (YAP) knockdown on human osteosarcoma (HOS) cell sensitivity to Pyropheophorbide-α methyl ester-mediated photodynamic therapy (MPPa-PDT), and to assess how YAP silencing in combination with treatment with the ferroptosis inducer Erastin improves HOS cell sensitivity to MPPa-PDT in an effort to better clarify the molecular mechanisms underlying these phenotypes.
Methods: At 12 h post-MPPa-PDT, Hoechst staining and flow cytometry were conducted to evaluate the apoptotic death of HOS cells. The expression of YAP in these cells at 12 h post-MPPa-PDT treatment was assessed via Western blotting and immunofluorescent staining.

Purpose: To verify whether femoral anteversion measured by the surgical transepicondylar axis (S-FA) is a reliable parameter for evaluating femoral rotational deformities and to provide an indication for derotational distal femoral osteotomy (DDFO) in patients with patellar dislocation.
Methods: Ninety patients with recurrent patellar dislocation and 90 healthy individuals were enrolled. The S-FA, the femoral anteversion measured by posterior condylar reference line (P-FA), the length of posterior femoral condyles, and the posterior condylar angle (PCA) were assessed by CT images.

Objective: The objective of this research was to investigate the risk factors of cement leakage in patients with metastatic spine tumors following percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP).
Methods: Sixty-four patients with 113 vertebrae were retrospectively reviewed. Various clinical indexes, including age, sex, body mass index (BMI), smoking history, drinking history, chemotherapy history, radiotherapy history, primary cancer, location, other metastases, collapse, posterior wall defects, the laterality of injection, and the injected cement volume were analyzed as potential risk factors.

Background: Synovial fluid biomarkers have been found to improve the diagnosis of chronic periprosthetic joint infection (PJI); however, no "gold standard" exists yet. Interleukin-4 (IL-4) and polymorphonuclear cell (neutrophil) count in the synovial fluid are crucial in mediating local inflammation during bacterial infections and could be valuable biomarkers for PJI.

Local lactate accumulation greatly hinders tissue repair and regeneration under ischemic condition. Herein, an injectable microsphere (MS@MCL) for local lactate exhaustion was constructed by grafting manganese dioxide (MnO) -lactate oxidase (LOX) composite nanozyme on microfluidic hyaluronic acid methacrylate (HAMA) microspheres via chemical bonds, achieving a long-term oxygen-promoted lactate exhaustion effect and a long half-life . The uniform and porous microspheres synthesized by microfluidic technology is beneficial to injection therapy and improving encapsulation efficiency.
