Background: The occurrence of pain catastrophizing, depression, and anxiety is prevalent among patients undergoing primary total hip arthroplasty (THA). The Enhanced Recovery After Surgery protocol (ERAS-P) has demonstrated its efficacy in alleviating peri-operative stress responses in such patients. This study endeavors to explore the influence of ERAS-P on patient satisfaction, as well as the levels of pain catastrophizing, surgery-related anxiety, and depression following primary THA.

Urothelial bladder cancer (UBC) is the most common malignant tumor of the urinary system. Most patients do not benefit from treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors, which are closely associated with immune profiling in the context of UBC. Therefore, we aimed to characterize the immune profile of UBC to identify different immune subtypes that may influence therapy choice.

Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), key immune cells in the tumor microenvironment, are shown to be closely correlated with the progression of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Cancer stem cells (CSCs) can contribute to NSCLC progression as well. We aimed to clarify whether TAMs promote the progression of NSCLC by mainly affecting the activities of CSCs.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is one of the prevalent and deadly cancers worldwide, especially in Eastern Asia. Recent studies show that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have critical roles in diverse biological processes, including tumorigenesis. In the present study, we find that the expression of lncRNA SPRY4-IT1 is significantly upregulated in ESCC cell lines as compared with human esophageal epithelial cell line HEEC.
