Dislocated Galeazzi-Equivalent Fracture With Ulnar Physeal Injury in an 11-Year-Old Boy.

Galeazzi-equivalent fracture is a very rare type of fracture. Unlike the "classic" adult form of Galeazzi fracture, where the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) is dislocated and the triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) is often damaged, the DRUJ and TFCC may remain intact in children. In this article, we report the case of an 11-year-old boy with a Galeazzi-equivalent fracture.

Devastating Pneumococcal Arthritis of the Shoulder After Two Corticosteroid Injections.

A 36-year-old man was treated with two intraarticular corticoid injections for intense pain and severely decreased range of motion of his left shoulder. After the second injection, he came back with fulminant arthritis. Microbiological examination revealed streptococcus pneumoniae.

Vertebral body stenting / stentoplasty.

Osteoporotic vertebral fractures are frequent. Although the majority of fractures follow a benign course, there are certain fracture types which result in severe spinal deformity and / or are associated with neurological complications. These patients should be detected early and undergo surgical treatment.
