Background: Tourette syndrome is a neurologic disorder that is characterized by repetitive muscle contractions that produce stereotyped movements or sounds. Approximately 50% of individuals with TS also exhibit obsessive-compulsive behaviors including eye rubbing. We report a case of bilateral self-induced keratoconus in a patient with TS, associated with compulsive eye rubbing.

Methods: Forty-one eyes of 41 patients undergoing cataract surgery were enrolled in this prospective study. CH and CCT were measured preoperatively, 1 day and 1 week postoperatively.

Purpose: To measure intraocular pressure (IOP) elevation 6 and 24 hours after phacoemulsification in patients with glaucoma and to investigate the efficacy of brimonidine tartrate 0.2% in preventing IOP rise on the first postoperative day following cataract surgery.
Methods: In this prospective randomized single-masked study, 86 eyes of 78 patients with well-controlled open-angle glaucoma were scheduled for phacoemulsification surgery.

A 65-year-old lady presented with decreased vision in her left eye (LE). Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 1/20. Complete examination showed idiopathic juxtafoveal retinal telangiectasis associated with subretinal neovascularization and she was treated with intravitreal ranibizumab every month for three months in the LE.

Purpose: To test the efficacy of ab interno Nd:YAG laser in reopening closed trabeculectomies and to specify the factors influencing the success or failure of the revision.
Methods: 27 patients underwent ab interno revision of their failed trabeculectomies with a Q switched, single-shot Cooper Vision 2500 Nd:YAG laser. The cause of obstruction was iris in 12 patients, transparent membrane in sclerectomy in 8 and fibrosis of the scleral flap in the remaining 7.

Background: One of the options the surgeon has, in the absence of lens capsule in an eye to be rendered pseudophakic, is a transsclerally sutured posterior chamber intraocular lens. This procedure can be combined with penetrating keratoplasty, in aphakic or pseudophakic covered edema.
Methods: We studied retrospectively the results of the first 10 cases of bullous keratopathy in which we performed penetrating keratoplasty combined with transsclerally suture fixated intraocular lenses.
