Introduction: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is indicated for multiple pancreatic and biliary pathologies and carries a heightened risk profile compared with other endoscopic procedures. Considerable research has been directed towards discerning risk factors associated with complications such as post-ERCP pancreatitis and post-ERCP bleeding. Despite this, data on chronic liver disease (CLD) as a risk factor for complications is limited.

Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), with its rising prevalence rates is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular and thromboembolic events. Antiplatelets and/or anticoagulants agents are often prescribed but the literature on the impact of long-term anticoagulation and/or antiplatelet use among patients hospitalized with IBD is scarce. During the pandemic of COVID-19, a novel atypical set of clinical findings was seen among several children with recent or current exposure to the virus. It was termed the "multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children" (MIS-C). Our study used the 2021 National Inpatient Sample to study the associations of sex, race, and age with the incidence of MIS-C among COVID-19-positive children.

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, also known as stress-induced cardiomyopathy or "broken heart syndrome," is a reversible cardiac disorder characterized by left ventricular dysfunction without significant obstructive coronary artery disease. It is classically secondary to emotional stress in postmenopausal women but can also be secondary to physical stress. This report presents a unique case of takotsubo cardiomyopathy induced by intracranial hemorrhage in an 80-year-old female who presented with syncope.

In this systematic review, we evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of vaccination efforts against Alzheimer's disease (AD) in human subjects from both ongoing and completed vaccination trials. Databases like PubMed, Embase, and Scopus were used to identify relevant articles on completed vaccination trials whereas the clinicaltrials.gov database was used for identifying ongoing clinical trials for vaccination against AD in humans until January 2022.

An Incidental Finding of Eagle Syndrome Post-Losartan-Induced Angioedema.

Eagle syndrome is a condition that can present with a wide range of clinical manifestations, including orofacial pain, altered sensation, dysphagia, tinnitus, and ear pain, and is caused by the abnormal elongation of the styloid process or the mineralization of the stylohyoid ligament. We present a case of an incidental finding of Eagle syndrome in a 48-year-old African American patient with losartan-induced angioedema. The patient complained of a foreign body sensation in his throat and mild dysphagia, and a computed tomography scan of his neck showed ossification of bilateral stylohyoid ligaments.

It is of clinical importance because of its preponderance in elderly males in the seventh decade of life who may present with constipation or diarrhea. We present an 80-year-old male who presented with diarrhea, with laboratory investigations showing hypokalemia and a CT abdomen revealing colonic distension.

Coronavirus Disease 2019 Associated Acute Myocardial Infarction and Atrial Fibrillation: A Case Report.

In the last two years since the inception of the Coronavirus pandemic, there have been a myriad of reports and studies related to Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). We present a unique case of COVID-19 associated with both acute myocardial infarction and new-onset atrial fibrillation (AFIB) in an elderly lady which is the first reported case to the best of our knowledge. The patient was symptomatic with acute COVID-19 and developed a type 2 myocardial infarction with new-onset AFIB.

Subclinical Hypothyroidism Presenting as Myxedema Coma: Case Report and Literature Review.

Myxedema coma is a medical emergency with a high mortality rate. Patients with hypothyroidism may develop myxedema coma if left untreated, although quite rare nowadays owing to regular TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) monitoring. We present the case of a patient with a known history of subclinical hypothyroidism, defined by normal free T4 (thyroxine) and high TSH, who was found to be in myxedema coma.
