Background:  Endoscopic resection of large pedunculated colorectal polyps is technically difficult, especially when the polyp is large and has such a thick stalk that it is either too difficult or impossible to resect prophylactically by a conventional snare. Objective: To analyze the clinical behavior of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) of the uterine cervix, we conducted a multicenter, retrospective study of 193 patients.

Methods: We evaluated the prognosis of NETs according to the new International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) staging system, compared the clinical response to different chemotherapy regimens, and compared different histological subtypes of NETS.

Results: Diagnoses of the subjects were atypical carcinoid tumor (ACT, n = 37), small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (SCNEC, n = 126), large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC, n = 22), and NET, not elsewhere classified (n = 8), according to central pathological review.

A 57-year-old man with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) and intrathoracic meningoceles was admitted to hospital after presenting with neck pain and progressive dyspnoea. On admission, a chest computed tomography scan demonstrated right pleural effusion, neck tumour, intrathoracic meningoceles, and rib metastasis.  Esophageal stricture following endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for superficial esophageal squamous cell cancer (SESCC) has been associated with wide mucosal defects greater than three-quarters of the luminal circumference. Some patients developed dysphagia and required repeated endoscopic balloon dilation even after steroid therapy. As iodine staining clearly visualized the margin of SESCC, we made a longitudinal mucosal incision close to the margin of the lesion to avoid a mucosal defect involving over three-quarters of the luminal circumference for large lesions.

When a medical provider(medical personnel)becomes a medical receiver(patient), does the consciousness about chemotherapy change ? If yes, what is the main reason ? In this study, we conducted a questionnaire on the consciousness of doctors and pharmacologists engaged in chemotherapy for gastric and/or colorectal cancer. The number of questionnaires collected was 83 and 92 for gastric and colorectal cancer, respectively. In adjuvant chemotherapy, 5%and 4%do not want to receive any chemotherapy for gastric and colorectal cancer if they are patients.

Introduction: It is unclear whether adding basal insulin or enhancing incretin signaling with a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) is more effective as an up-titration strategy after dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor (DPP-4i)-based oral antidiabetic drug (OAD) therapy. GLP-1RAs can be injected without dose adjustment, unlike basal insulin. Our objective was to examine the efficacy of changing patients inadequately controlled with oral DPP-4i-based OAD therapy to injectable GLP-1RA and discontinuing the DPP4i versus adding basal insulin glargine (IGlar) with the continuation of the oral DPP4i.
