Purpose: Several reporting systems have been proposed for providing standardized language and diagnostic categories aiming for expressing the likelihood that lung abnormalities on CT images represent COVID-19. We developed a machine learning (ML)-based CT texture analysis software for simple triage based on the RSNA Expert Consensus Statement system. The purpose of this study was to conduct a multi-center and multi-reader study to determine the capability of ML-based computer-aided simple triage (CAST) software based on RSNA expert consensus statements for diagnosis of COVID-19 pneumonia.

Background/aim: The association of clinical outcomes with posttreatment persistent changes in eosinophils and other white blood cell (WBC) subtypes in patients with advanced urothelial cancer (UC) treated with pembrolizumab after the failure of platinum-based chemotherapy is unclear.

Patients And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 87 patients with advanced UC who received pembrolizumab after the failure of platinum-based chemotherapy. The changes in WBC subtypes from pretreatment were evaluated three and six weeks after pembrolizumab administration.

A 69-year-old woman was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with an FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3-internal tandem duplication (FLT3-ITD) mutation. Complete remission (CR) was achieved after induction therapy, but AML resulted in a hematological relapse two months after the consolidation chemotherapy. Relapse was accompanied by multiple skin lesions that demonstrated leukemic cell infiltration as well as a drooping right eyelid with extroversion of the eye due to right oculomotor palsy.

Efficacy of laparoscopic liver resection for small hepatocellular carcinoma located in the posterosuperior segments: A multi-institutional study using propensity score matching by the Kyushu Study Group of Liver Surgery.

Aim: Laparoscopic liver resection (LLR) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) located in the posterosuperior segments (PS) have generally been considered more difficult than those for HCC in anterolateral segments (AL), but may be safe and feasible for selected patients with accumulated experience. Background: It is crucially important to understand the risk factors for rectal bleeding after volumetric-modulated arc radiotherapy (VMAT) for prostate cancer to prevent subsequent rectal bleeding. We assayed clinical and dosimetric data to investigate the risk factors for rectal bleeding after VMAT of prostate cancer.

Materials And Methods: This study included 149 patients with prostate cancer who received VMAT from February, 2012 to June, 2020.

Background: Driver alterations may represent novel candidates for driver gene-guided therapy; however, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) with multiple genomic aberrations makes them intractable.
