Freezing of gait (FOG) is a disabling yet poorly understood paroxysmal gait disorder affecting the vast majority of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) as they reach advanced stages of the disorder. Falling is one of the most disabling consequences of a FOG episode; it often results in injury and a future fear of falling, leading to diminished social engagement, a reduction in general fitness, loss of independence, and degradation of overall quality of life. Currently, there is no robust or reliable treatment against FOG in PD.

In the setting of increasing patient-reported cannabidiol (CBD) usage in the dermatologic setting, it is of great importance that clinicians become aware of potential medication interactions that may arise from cannabidiol usage in order to ensure safe and efficacious medication therapy. This brief review aimed to bring awareness to the mechanism of CBD while highlighting potential interactions between CBD and medication therapy for commonly encountered dermatologic conditions, including acne, allergic contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, pruritus, skin aging, skin cancer, and psoriasis.

Alpha2 Agonist Use in Critically Ill Adults: A Focus on Sedation and Withdrawal Prevention.

The management of sedation in critically ill adults poses a unique challenge to clinicians. Dexmedetomidine, an α agonist, has a unique mechanism and favorable pharmacokinetics, making it an attractive intravenous option for sedation and delirium in the intensive care unit. However, patients may be at risk for withdrawal with prolonged use, adding to the complexity of sedation and agitation management in this patient population.

Thrombectomy Outcomes in Acute Basilar Artery Occlusions Due to Intracranial Atherosclerotic Disease.

A symptomatic cystic axillary mass in a post-partum female.

Hemangiomas are rarely found in the axilla, with the most commonly identified axillary mass being lymphadenopathy. We report a unique case report of a post-partum female with an axillary mass that became larger and symptomatic while breastfeeding. On imaging, the mass was found to be complex and cystic, and aspiration was attempted several times.
