Many recent outbreaks of influenza A (H1N1) in the world, especially in Brazil, it has become clear that the severity of the disease is not known in the same form. On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, Brazil notified the WHO of a fatal case of human infection with a variant of the influenza A(H1N1) virus of swine origin, this case was confirmed in a laboratory in the region of the interior state of Paraná. This is the first human infection caused by an influenza A (H1N1) virus reported in 2023 nationwide in Brazil.

We report the case of a newborn with aplasia cutis congenita characterized by the absence of skin in the left parietal region, superficial dilatation of the scalp veins, facial dysmorphia, limb anomalies, and severe intrauterine growth retardation. Maternal milk enabled the baby to gain weight, and dermatological treatment was performed for scarring of the vertex. Psychomotor development and stature were spectacular.

Maternal nutrition is impacted by personal and environmental factors including dietary intake, knowledge, food availability, and affordability. This cross-sectional analysis aimed to evaluate nutrition-related knowledge, attitudes, practices, and associations with hemoglobin concentration among lactating mothers in the Bukavu region, Democratic Republic of the Congo. In 444 lactating mothers, nutrition-related knowledge and practice were assessed by questionnaires and translated into knowledge and practice scores ranging from 0 to 1, attitudes and drivers of food choice were assessed, the Dietary Diversity Score (DDS) was assessed with 24 h dietary recalls in a potential range from 0 to 10, and hemoglobin (Hb) was measured in mothers and their infants.

Introduction And Importance: Bone tumor in children is a very large pathology and represents about 5% of pediatric cancers located mainly in the limbs. This is a case of a rare form of bone tumor of the round cell sarcoma type of the right femur in an 18-month-old female infant whose diagnosis and therapeutic decision are specific.

Case Presentation: We present an 18-month-old girl, admitted to the panzi general reference hospital and presenting a painful swelling of the right thigh evolving for more than a month and which gradually increased in size in a febrile context with ipso-lateral inguinal adenopathy; Bone biopsy revealed round cell sarcoma and immunohistochemistry was not available.
