- Osteoarthrosis (OA) is a slowly progressing condition that leads to significant discomfort, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is being explored as an effective treatment for knee OA.
- A year-long clinical study involved 80 patients over 50 years old with symptomatic knee OA, who received PRP injections and were assessed using VAS and WOMAC questionnaires before and after treatment.
- Results showed significant improvements in patients' pain and function after 12 weeks, indicating that PRP therapy is a cost-effective and simple option for managing knee pain related to OA.
