We report a 14-year-old boy with Stevens-Johnson syndrome who presented with mucous membrane lesions but without skin lesions and discuss the differential diagnosis of oral mucous membrane lesions in childhood. Stevens-Johnson syndrome in children is most frequently caused by a Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. The full clinical picture of Stevens-Johnson syndrome can be present before seroconversion of Mycoplasma antibodies is observed.

Discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) is an uncommon disease in childhood. In this paper we present five new cases of childhood DLE. Two of them are identical twin brothers, who developed similar lesions during an interval of 5 years.

Background: Comèl-Netherton syndrome (CN) is characterized by atopic-eczema-like skin abnormalities combined with linear ichthyotic lesions, hair shaft abnormalities and atopy with high IgE levels.
Objective: Five children with CN are described. In 2 of the 3 CN patients still alive, analysis of cytokines regulating IgE synthesis was performed.

Unlabelled: The purpose of this study was to confirm the reported incidence of hyperprolactinemia in colorectal cancer and to find further evidence for an ectopic prolactin production by the tumor.
Material And Method: Thirty two consecutive patients with an adenocarcinoma of the colon (n = 17) or the rectum (n = 15) were included. Preoperative serum prolactin concentrations were determined and correlated with CEA concentrations and tumor stages.

Based on 15 cases of inverted urothelial papilloma, we present the clinical significance of these lesions in view of the current literature. An inverted papilloma should raise suspicion with respect to the whole urothelial surface. However, approaching every lesion of this type as a (pre-)neoplastic tumor does not seem justified, since 90 percent of all cases reported so far do not present any clinical or histologic feature of malignancy.
