Purpose: To assess the level of moral distress (MD) and perceptions of ethical climate among pediatric hematology/oncology (PHO) nurses and to identify bioethics topics where increased education was desired.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, we administered the 26-item Swedish Moral Distress Scale-Revised (sMDS-R), specifically revised and validated for pediatric oncology, in conjunction with the Clinical Ethics Needs Assessment Survey (CENAS). Objective: The objective of this study was to develop a scale to assess the self-management capability of patients with spinal cord injuries and provide an evaluation tool for implementing targeted interventions.

Methods: Drawing upon the Integrated Theory of Health Behavior Change (ITHBC) and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) framework, an initial version of the Spinal Cord Injury Patient Self-Management Capability Assessment Scale was developed through literature analysis, semi-structured interviews, and expert inquiry using the Delphi method. Subsequently, two rounds of inquiries were conducted with a panel of 20 experts to refine items in the scale based on the feedback obtained.

The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a managed care program financed by capitated government payments that primarily serves adults aged 55 or older requiring nursing home level of care who are dual-eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. While PACE programs have historically been nonprofit entities, in 2016, a regulation change allowed for-profit PACE programs to help expand the program. We describe PACE program growth from 2010 to 2022.

Objectives: To systematically map the entry-level competencies of rehabilitation professions to the World Health Organization's Rehabilitation Competency Framework (RCF) to identify overlapping commonalities and gaps across available rehabilitation frameworks.

Design: The competence frameworks of audiology, occupational therapy, physical and rehabilitation medicine, psychology, physiotherapy, prosthetics and orthotics, rehabilitation nursing, and speech and language therapy were researched online. In cases where international standards or competencies were unavailable online, expert colleagues in the related field were consulted to confirm the absence of an international document.

This paper examines the potential of poetry as a resource within mental health nurse pre-registration education. There has long been a debate as to whether the art or the science of nursing should be foregrounded within pre-registration education, especially in the UK within recent years as the latest Nursing and Midwifery Council's standards of pre-registration education appear to have shifted the focus towards the acquisition of skills, giving less consideration to the holistic transformatory process of education. The paper uses the conceptualisation of education by Beista, who proposes that education can be considered in relation to the three domains of qualification, socialisation and subjectification.

The COVID-19 pandemic had immediate impact on nursing students enrolled in postgraduate and post-registration nursing courses. Some students were required to undertake additional clinical hours and place their studies on hold, while others had clinical experiences and face-to-face classes suspended, with online learning modes quickly mobilized. While there have been many reports on the impact and experience of these changes on undergraduate students, limited reports have focused on challenges for nursing students who were registered for practice following completion of their undergraduate studies, and were enrolled in higher degree, postgraduate education programs.

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate how facilitators approach and use nursing students' mistakes in simulation-based training as learning resources in the simulation debriefing phase. Facilitators are responsible for raising students' awareness of their performances during the debriefing and facilitating reflections on their performances, including satisfactory behaviours and performance gaps. Research on facilitators' work during debriefing has highlighted various challenges, such as providing a safe and constructive climate among novice students while simultaneously teaching them the correct procedures, methods, and knowledge of caring practices to become professional nurses.
