In this context, the aim of the present study was to evaluated the potential cytotoxic effects of GSK461364A, a competitive inhibitor for PLK1, in gastric cancer cell line SNU-1 cells and explored its cytotoxic mechanism.

Surgical Management Thoracolumbar Fractures in Patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis: Technical Note with Case Series.

Objective: Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory joint disease. Complications such as traumatic spinal fractures are mostly caused by hyperextension and are unstable. We report the cases of 5 patients with AS surgically treated for thoracolumbar fractures.

Hereditary thrombocytopenia with familial novel mutation in MYH9 gene: A familial case report.

One of the rarest types of hereditary thrombocytopenia is the MYH9-related disorder. This spectrum of disorders is characterized by large platelets with or without leukocyte inclusion bodies, a decrease in the total number of platelets, and autosomal dominant inheritance. Proteinuric nephropathy that frequently progresses to end-stage renal failure, as well as the beginning of progressive high-frequency sensorineural hearing loss in young adults, is also associated with MYH9-related disorder.

Background: Mildronate is a useful anti-ischemic agent and has antiinflammatory, antioxidant, and neuroprotective activities. The aim of this study is to investigate the potential neuroprotective effects of mildronate in the experimental rabbit spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury (SCIRI) model.

Methods: Rabbits were randomized into 5 groups of 8 animals as groups 1 (control), 2 (ischemia), 3 (vehicle), 4 (30 mg/kg methylprednisolone [MP]), and 5 (100 mg/kg mildronate).

This study, it was aimed to examine the possible anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and neuroprotective effects of apigenin in the setting of the mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) model.

Methods: Wistar albino male rats were randomly assigned to groups: control ( = 9), TBI ( = 9), TBI + vehicle ( = 8), and TBI + apigenin (20 and 40 mg/kg, immediately after trauma;  = 6 and  = 7).

Objectives: This study aimed to determine the readmission rate after adenotonsillectomy with the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and analyze the factors associated with readmission.

Methods: It was planned as a retrospective study conducted in a single institution that included pediatric patients who underwent adenotonsillectomy with OSA diagnosis between December 2018 and March 2021.
