It is estimated that two billion people worldwide are infected with hepatitis B. In such cases, patients exposed to the virus may experience HBV-reactivation(HBVr), which is usually due to immunosuppression. It is not anticipated that spontaneous-HBVr will occur in the absence of immunosuppression in resolved HBV.

Objective: Contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) is the third most common cause of hospital-acquired acute renal failure. The increased use of contrast material in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures has made CIN a frequently encountered problem in clinical cardiology practice. Our study aims to understand the role of inflammatory biomarkers in patients developing CIN and to evaluate the relationship of inflammation with the Mehran Score (MRS) and SYNTAX (SYNERGY Between Percutaneous Coronary Intervention with TAXUS and Cardiac Surgery) Score (SS).

Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is the most prevalent human tick-borne viral disease, with a reported case fatality rate of 30 % or higher. The virus contains a tri-segmented, negative-sense RNA genome consisting of the small (S), medium (M) and large (L) segments encoding respectively the nucleoprotein (NP), the glycoproteins precursor (GPC) and the viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RDRP). CCHFV is one of the most genetically diverse arboviruses, with seven distinct lineages named after the region they were first reported in and based on S segment phylogenetic analysis.

In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of HbA1C/C-peptide ratio on short-term mortality (this period is defined as 30 days after diagnosis) in the patients with myocardial infarction. Around 3245 patients who were admitted due to ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention between October 2020 and 2024 were included in this study. In the receiver operating characteristic analysis, the predictive power of the HCR score for mortality in ST-elevation myocardial infarction patients was determined to be 83% sensitivity and 81% specificity.
