Background: Telemonitoring for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has not consistently demonstrated superiority over standard care; however, noninferiority may be an acceptable outcome if remote care proves to be more efficient.
Objective: This study aims to compare the remission time and quality of life of patients with active IBD managed through standard care versus the TECCU (Telemonitoring of Crohn Disease and Ulcerative Colitis) app.
Methods: A 2-arm, randomized, multicenter trial with a noninferiority design was conducted across 24 hospitals in Spain.

The aim was to evaluate the value of microperimetry (MP) in the early detection of toxic maculopathy caused by HCQ treatment in patients with normal fundoscopy, as well as normal structural optical coherence tomography (OCT). Microperimetry was performed in 13 patients under hydroxychloroquine treatment, who did not present fundoscopic or structural OCT alterations compatible with maculopathy. Purpose: Salts of phenylacetic acid (PAA) and phenylbutyric acid (PBA) have been used for nitrogen elimination as a treatment for hyperammonaemia caused by urea cycle disorders (UCD).
