Although the role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in key biological processes in animals and plants has been confirmed for decades, their identification in fungi remains limited. In this study, we discovered and characterized lncRNAs in Aspergillus flavus in response to changes in water activity, CO concentration, and temperature, and predicted their regulatory roles in cellular functions. A total of 472 lncRNAs were identified in the genome of A.

Sickleweed (Falcaria vulgaris) is the name of a species of annual, and perennial herbaceous plants of the genus Falcaria. Climate change could negatively influnces the performance of various plant species in plant kingdom. In this study, 15 different sickleweed populations from seven provinces of the country were collected based on an unbalanced nest design with 10 replications and the percentage of essential oil, types of chlorophyll, phenol, proline, protein, and carotenoids were measured on them.

Purpose: Epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFRs) are overexpressed in a wide range of tumors and are attractive candidates to target in targeted therapies. This study aimed to introduce a novel radiolabeled compound, Lu-cetuximab-PAMAM G4, for the treatment of EGFR-expressing tumors.
Methods: In this study, the cetuximab mAb was bound to PAMAM G4 and labeled with Lu via DTPA-CHX chelator.

Maize Iranian mosaic virus (MIMV, family Rhabdoviridae) is one of the factors limiting cereal production in Iran. In the present study, we sought to find critical genes and key pathways involved in MIMV infection and analyzed gene networks, pathways and promoters using transcriptome data. We determined the hub genes involved in pathways related to the proteasome and ubiquitin.

In this research, considering the Coulomb interaction of charged particles, using the collision stopping power and the NIST library data, the effective atomic number of various materials at different energies is calculated for common radiotherapy particles such as electron, proton, alpha, and carbon ions. Taking into account the direct calculation method based on the collision stopping power, the effective atomic number for electron, proton, alpha, and carbon particles is determined for a group of dosimetry and tissue equivalent materials.

The word "pstk" [pistag], used in the ancient Persian language, is the linguistic root from which the current name "pistachio", used worldwide, derives. The word pistachio is generally used to designate the plants and fruits of a single species: L. Both the plant and its fruits have been used by mankind for thousands of years, specifically the consumption of its fruits by Neanderthals has been dated to about 300,000 years ago.

This study aims to produce and quality control of a new porphyrin complex labeled with Ti for PET imaging, so at the first step, the cross-section of Sc(p,n)Ti was investigated by TALYS-1.6 and the optimal target thickness and theoretical yield were calculated by SRIM code. The purified Ti was labeled with the anticancer agent of tetrakis (pentafluorophenyl) porphyrin (TFPP).

Angiogenesis phenomenon, as a highly affecting factor on the growth and spread of cancer cells, depends on specific molecular interactions between components of the extracellular matrix and vascular cells. αv integrin acts as a cell adhesive molecule involved in tumor invasion and angiogenesis. Among the various combinations of integrin subunits expressed on the surface of cells, αβ integrin has a particularly interesting expression pattern during angiogenesis.

To investigate the effects of converting forests into vineyards typical to Zarivar Lake watershed, Iran, which occurred mainly in the 1970s and 80s, on soil erosion,Cs and Pb, being mid-and-long-term soil loss tracers, were applied. In Chernobyl-contaminated areas like those found in some parts of Europe and Asia, the proportion of Cs Chernobyl fallout needs to be determined to convert Cs inventories into soil erosion rates. To do so, Pu radioisotopes were applied for the first time in Iran.

Reducing nitrogen losses can be accomplished by mixing fertilizers with nitrification inhibitors (NI). In some agricultural systems, increasing soil N supply capacity by the use of NI could lead to improved N use efficiency (NUE) and increased crop yields. This study examined the effect of different N rates and NI in maize in the north of Iran.

There has been impressive growth in the use of radiopharmaceuticals for therapy, selective toxic payload delivery, and noninvasive diagnostic imaging of disease. The increasing timeframes and costs involved in the discovery and development of new radiopharmaceuticals have driven the development of more efficient strategies for this process. Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) methods and Machine Learning (ML) have become more effective over the last two decades for drug and materials discovery and optimization.

Gamma (γ)-radiation can target viral genome replication and preserve viral structural proteins compared to formalin inactivation. Thus, a stronger immunity could be induced after the inoculation of the irradiated virus. In this study, γ-irradiated low-pathogenic avian influenza virus-H9N2 (LPAIV-H9N2) was used to immunize the broiler chicken in two formulations, including γ-irradiated LPAIV-H9N2 with 20% Trehalose intranasally (IVT.

In this work, Sn and Ag doped PbS/PVA nanocomposites, in three different concentrations were successfully prepared using the low-cost and simple method of chemical bath deposition (CBD). X-ray diffraction patterns confirmed the formation of the PbS cubic phase in all of the nanocomposites. FE-SEM images showed that PbS NPs are cubic in shape and the doping can alter the shape of grains.

The goal of using radiopharmaceuticals for therapeutic purposes is twofold: first, the most damage to cancer cells and, second, the most negligible dose transfers to healthy tissues. As Lu has the potential to cure a wide range of malignancies due to its varied range of beta energies, Lu-BBN-GABA-DOTA has been developed for therapeutic applications. In addition, Lu-BBN-GABA-DOTA can be over-expressed on gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) receptors of the prostate, breast, small cell lung cancer, gastric, and colon tumors.

SARS-CoV-2, the causal agent of COVID-19, is primarily a pulmonary virus that can directly or indirectly infect several organs. Despite many studies carried out during the current COVID-19 pandemic, some pathological features of SARS-CoV-2 have remained unclear. It has been recently attempted to address the current knowledge gaps on the viral pathogenicity and pathological mechanisms via cellular-level tropism of SARS-CoV-2 using human proteomics, visualization of virus-host protein-protein interactions (PPIs), and enrichment analysis of experimental results.
