This study aimed to investigate the influence of newborns' sex on the concentrations of minor and trace elements in the human milk of lactating mothers during early lactation. The elemental analysis focused on calcium (Ca), potassium (K), sodium (Na), and chlorine (Cl) as minor elements and iodine (I), aluminum (Al), bromine (Br), and rubidium (Rb) as trace elements. Breast milk samples were collected from 75 lactating mothers in Tehran, Iran, during the early feeding stage.

Mutant strains of were found to have improved antifungal properties against and increased production of biosurfactants and biofilms. Background: Drought stress is a critical challenge to rice production, necessitating the development of drought-tolerant genotypes. This study aimed to evaluate the drought tolerance of rice genotypes, including traditional parental lines (Hashemi, Khazar, Fajr, and Tarom Mahalli) and their corresponding mutant lines, under normal and drought stress conditions.
Methods: Agronomic traits such as plant height, spike number, spike length, seed fertility, and yield were analyzed under both conditions.

Methods: DFO was conjugated to rituximab monoclonal antibody (mAb), and DFO-rituximab was successfully labeled with zirconium-89 (89Zr) at optimized conditions.

Introduction: Esophageal Cancer (EC) ranks among the most common malignancies worldwide. Most EC patients acquire drug resistance to chemotherapy either intrinsically or acquired after T-DM1 treatment, which shows that increasing or decreasing the expression of particular genes might influence chemotherapeutic sensitivity or resistance. Therefore, gaining a deeper understanding of the altered expression of genes involved in EC drug resistance and developing new therapeutic methods are essential targets for continued advancement in EC therapy.

Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) poses a significant threat to tomato production worldwide, prompting extensive research into its genetic diversity, evolutionary dynamics, and adaptive strategies. In this study, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of ToBRFV at the codon level, focusing on codon usage bias, selection pressures, and evolutionary patterns across multiple genes. Our analysis revealed distinct patterns of codon usage bias and selection pressures within the ToBRFV genome, with varying levels of genetic diversity and evolutionary constraints among different genes.

To estimate a watershed's response to climate change, it is crucial to understand how human activities and climatic extremes have interacted over time. Over the last century, the Zarivar Lake watershed, Iran, has been subjected to various anthropogenic activates, including deforestation and inappropriate land-management practices alongside the implementation of conservation measures like check dams. To understand the effects of these changes on the magnitude of sediment, organic carbon (OC), and phosphorus supplies in a small sub-watershed connected to the lake over the last century, a lake sediment core was dated using Pb and Cs as geochronometers.

This study proposes the beta-emitting radioisotope Pr as a promising candidate for palliative treatment of metastatic bone pain due to its desirable physical decay characteristics. An optimized process was developed for the production and purification of non-carrier-added Pr using a medium flux research reactor. Calculations were performed to determine the optimal irradiation time and cooling period for irradiating 1 mg of natural cerium oxide to indirectly produce Pr through the decay of Ce.

Human activities usually have some contamination as effluents from chemical industries and radionuclides from nuclear reactors. For assessing the probable radioactive contamination in vicinity of Tehran Research Reactor, The gross alpha and beta radioactivity concentrations in soil, pine and cedar leaves and some selected fruits (fig, apple, berry and pomegranate) were investigated using an alpha/beta spectrometer during 2021-2022.
