We introduce a 61-year-old man with poorly differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma, who previously underwent surgical treatment. In this presentation, he complained of a newly appeared midabdominal mass after the latest chemotherapy session. He was a candidate for diagnostic laparotomy, but in the setting of trial, 99m Tc-FAPI-46 SPECT/CT was performed revealing 2 peritoneal masses, which were the only findings of diagnostic surgery subsequent to the scan.

This case report presents a rare instance of pulmonary lymphangitic carcinomatosis (PLC) in a prostate cancer patient, showcasing uptake of 99mTc-prostate-specific membrane antigen and 99mTc-fibroblast activation protein inhibitor-46 on imaging scans. A 70-year-old man with elevated serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels exhibited respiratory symptoms and was diagnosed with widespread skeletal and pulmonary metastases. Following taxane-based chemotherapy and androgen deprivation therapy, imaging revealed decreased uptake and improvement in clinical symptoms, indicating treatment response.

Before treatment, he was diagnosed with 2 subcutaneous nodules in the chest wall and soft tissue edema in the pubic and inguinal regions showing PSMA avidity. Biopsy and immunohistochemistry assessment confirmed cutaneous metastases from prostate cancer.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFWe present MDP bone scan findings of radiation pneumonitis in a 45-year-old woman with invasive ductal carcinoma of the right breast, classified as stage IIIa, T3N2M0. The patient underwent a modified radical mastectomy, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and subsequent radiotherapy, receiving the last session 7 months before the bone scan. Whole-body images acquired 3 hours postinjection of 20 mCi (730 MBq) 99m Tc-MDP showed incidentally increased uptake in the right hemithorax, confined to the lung parenchyma of the right lung on SPECT/CT images.

Background: The aim of the study was to evaluate the association of high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) findings with pulmonary fibrotic activity in the corresponding regions using [ 68 Ga]Ga-fibroblast activation fibroblast inhibitor (FAPI) PET/CT in patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD). Additionally, the potential of [ 68 Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 PET/CT for evaluating the active fibrosis process and 99m Tc-MIBI scintigraphy for assessing the inflammatory process in ILD patients was also assessed.
Methods: In this pilot study, 20 ILD patients underwent [ 68 Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 PET/CT and 99m Tc-MIBI SPECT/CT.

Convolutional neural networks (CNN) approaches have demonstrated exceptional performance in the automated stratification of AD, mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and cognitively normal (CN) participants using MRI, owing to their high predictive accuracy and reliability.

The current study tries to find the impact of the integration of laccase enzyme (Lac) onto magnetized chitosan (Cs) nanoparticles composed of molybdenum disulfide (MoS NPs) (FeO/Cs/MoS/Lac NPs) on the removal of AFM in milk samples. The FeO/Cs/MoS/Lac NPs were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, BET, TEM, FESEM, EDS, PSA, and VSM analysis. The cytotoxic activity of the synthesized nanoparticles in different concentrations was evaluated using the MTT method.

Background: In this study, we sought to identify the clinical baseline characteristics and pre-therapy 68Ga-PSMA PET derived parameters that can have impact on PSA (biochemical) response, OS and PSA PFS in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who undergo RLT with [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-617.
Methods: Various pre-treatment clinical and PSMA PET derived parameters were gathered and computed. We used PSA response as the criteria for more than a 50% decrease in PSA level, and OS and PSA PFS as endpoints.

This case study presents the first demonstration of FAPI ligand uptake in a patient with optic nerve sheath meningioma. The patient, a 23-year-old woman who had previously undergone surgery for refractory optic meningioma, was referred to our department for 177Lu-DOTATATE therapy. After 3 cycles of 177Lu-DOTATATE administration, her proptosis significantly decreased.

A 59-year-old woman with recent history of weakness, loss of appetite, and significant weight loss was referred for malignancy workup. On the first day, the patient underwent a 99mTc-MDP scan, which revealed diffuse pulmonary uptake in both lungs. Two days later, 99mTc-FAPI scan was performed and showed diffuse pulmonary uptake in the planar and SPECT/CT images.

The fibroblast activation protein (FAP) is a biomarker that is selectively overexpressed on cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in various types of tumoral tissues and some nonmalignant diseases, including fibrosis, arthritis, cardiovascular, and metabolic diseases. FAP plays a critical role in tumor microenvironment through facilitating proliferation, invasion, angiogenesis, immunosuppression, and drug resistance. Recent studies reveal that FAP might be regarded as a promising target for cancer diagnosis and treatment.

This study aimed to develop a highly efficient nanocomposite composed of magnetic chitosan/molybdenum disulfide (CS/MoS/FeO) for the removal of three polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)-pyrene, anthracene, and phenanthrene. Novelty was introduced through the innovative synthesis procedure and the utilization of magnetic properties for enhanced adsorption capabilities. Additionally, the greenness of chitosan as a sorbent component was emphasized, highlighting its biodegradability and low environmental impact compared to traditional sorbents.

Insulin, an essential peptide hormone, conjointly regulates blood glucose levels by its receptor and it is used as vital drug to treat diabetes. This therapeutic hormone may undergo different chemical modifications during industrial processes, pharmaceutical formulation, and through its endogenous storage in the pancreatic β-cells.
