Background: Two facets of positive body image, body appreciation and functionality appreciation, are positively associated with an adaptive eating style known as intuitive eating. Little is known about the mechanisms underlying the association between positive body image and intuitive eating, although it is well established that weight bias internalization is associated with unfavorable views of the self and body and interferes with health behavior engagement.
Objective: The present cross-sectional study examined weight bias internalization as a statistical mediator of the association between positive body image (i.

Psoriasis (PsO) is a chronic, systemic, and autoimmune dermatologic condition characterized by dry, scaly, and erythematous plaques on the skin. PsO can present in various forms, including guttate (small, round lesions commonly over the upper trunk and extremities that can be raised and scaly), inverse (smooth plaques of inflamed skin within skin folds of the groin, buttock, and breasts), pustular (white painful pustules within red inflamed blotches widespread over the body), and erythrodermic (red rash present over most of the body). Individuals with PsO can present differently, with unique symptoms and patterns on the skin.

Testicular cancer is one of the leading malignancies affecting young men, with germ cell tumors (GCTs) being the most prevalent type. These tumors are classified into two main subtypes: seminomas and non-seminomatous germ cell tumors (NSGCTs), with the latter known for their higher likelihood of metastasis. Early detection through imaging and tumor markers like alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is crucial for favorable outcomes.

This case report presents a rare occurrence of acute pericarditis coinciding with acute aortic dissection (AAD), emphasizing the significance of recognizing and managing these dual conditions effectively. It highlights the necessity of a multidisciplinary approach and underscores the importance of maintaining a high index of suspicion regardless of symptomatology to ensure prompt patient management and complication prevention. This case describes a 91-year-old male patient, who initially presented with mild chest pain, and was later diagnosed with AAD alongside acute pericarditis.

Thyroidectomy has been post-operatively managed by hormone replacement therapy in order to satisfy the reference ranges of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and thyroxine (T4) levels. While medication and standardized reference ranges have proven to be effective, many patients continue to report unintentional weight gain despite adequate amounts of treatment and levels of TSH and T4. Physicians, over the years, have become complacent to these "normal" ranges, and have ignored the metabolic consequences that are affecting thyroidectomy patients.

Background: Coronary atherosclerosis can lead to acute clinical events upon atherosclerotic plaque rupture (PR) or erosion and arterial thrombus formation. Identifying the effect of distinct plaque characteristics on clinical outcomes in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is critical for clinical therapy. Our goal was to ascertain the correlation between clinical outcome, long-term prognosis, and morphological plaque characteristics in STEMI.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex endocrine disorder affecting women of reproductive age and is characterized by hormonal imbalances, insulin resistance, and reproductive dysfunctions. Glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) are primarily used in diabetes management to enhance insulin release by stimulating GLP-1 receptors in the pancreas. The search strategy included randomized trials on the management of PCOS symptoms with GLP-1 RAs alone or in combination with other medications; meta-analyses, literature reviews, or case reports were excluded.

This study aimed to investigate, characterize, and provide quantitative reference data on tissue dielectric constant (TDC) values of female breasts when measurements were made to 5 mm depths and determine the utility of these measurements to differentiate between benign and malignant breast tumors. Breast TDC was measured bilaterally in 82 women just prior to an ultrasound-guided diagnostic biopsy of one tumor in one breast. TDC was measured in triplicate over the tumor and the contralateral healthy breast.

Background: The basivertebral nerve, which densely supplies the vertebral endplates, is a potential source of chronic low back pain transmission in patients with Modic changes. Basivertebral nerve ablation (BVNA), a minimally invasive procedure, aims to disrupt this pain signaling.
Objectives: In this study, we investigated BVNA's effectiveness in treatment of vertebrogenic low back pain and we followed patients for 12 months to assess long-term effectiveness.
