About 18% of congenital hearing loss are associated with CND. It is a disease of uncertain cause.

Self-face processing in relation to self-referential tasks in 24-month-old infants: A study through eye movements and pupillometry measures.

The aim of the current study was to investigate visual scan patterns for the self-face in infants with the ability to recognize themselves with a photograph. 24-month-old infants (N = 32) were presented with faces including the self-face in the upright or inverted orientation. We also measured infants' ability to recognize oneself in a mirror and with a photograph.

Dodecyl creatine ester, a promising treatment to deliver creatine to neurons, achieves pharmacology efficacy in creatine transporter deficiency.

Dodecyl creatine ester (DCE) is a creatine prodrug currently developed for brain diseases, including creatine transporter deficiency (CTD), an incurable rare genetic disease. A dual strategy combining a prodrug to bypass the non-functional creatine transporter and its delivery via the nose-to-brain pathway has been proposed to replenish creatine levels in cerebral cells, particularly in neurons of CTD patients. In vitro and in vivo studies in various animal models, including wild-type non-human primates and creatine transporter deficient mice, show that formulated DCE, when administered intranasally, achieves significant cerebral distribution up to the target cells, the neurons, and modulates the expression of neuronal markers related to cognitive function at doses intended for patients.

Validity and reliability of the Empty Nose Syndrome Index (ENSI).

[Neuronal models based on olfactory epithelial cells in the study of the pathogenesis of mental disorders].

Mental disorders are complex illnesses with multifactorial etiologies involving genetic and environmental components. This review focuses on cellular models derived from the olfactory epithelium as a promising tool to study the molecular mechanisms of some neuropsychiatric diseases. Sarcomas of the Head and Neck Region.

[A case of prolonged remission after discontinuation of biological therapy in a patient with severe uncontrolled chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps].

Currently, targeted biological therapy is an innovative and highly effective approach in the treatment of severe chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) associated with T2 inflammation that is uncontrolled by standard treatment methods. The article presents the first experience of long-term observation of a patient who, one year after the start of targeted biological therapy with dupilumab, independently stopped the treatment due to complete relief of symptoms of CRSwNP, despite recommendations to continue therapy to maintain control. At the same time, one year after the refusal of biological therapy, the patient showed persistent clinical remission in relation to the symptoms of CRSwNP, confirmed by the results of videoendoscopic examination of the nasal cavity and computed tomography of the sinuses.

[Granulomatosis with polyangiitis. Analysis of two clinical cases from the practice of an otorhinolaryngologist].

The article presents an analysis of 2 clinical cases of granulomatosis with polyangiitis from the practice of an otorhinolaryngologist. In the first case, the pathology manifested with lesions of the middle ear and nose. In the second case, in addition to manifestations from the nose and the ear, there was a lesion of the larynx.

[Experience of transnasal endoscopic drainage of rhinosinusogenic frontal lobe abscess].

Based on the results of the analysis and generalization of literature sources on the treatment and prevention of ear sulfur plugs, presented in specialized publications in the Russian scientific eLibrary and scientific databases MedLine, Web of Science, Scopus, the need to optimize treatment methods and preventive measures has been identified. In this regard, it is recommended to widely use the preparation A-Cerumen Plus as one of the most progressive means.

[Epidemiology of central auditory disorders in school-age children. Literature review].

To study the epidemiological characteristics of chronic tonsillitis (ChT), the need for patients to undergo conservative and surgical treatment, and a comparative assessment of the effectiveness of conservative treatment of patients with chronic tonsillitis using Tonsilotren as monotherapy and in complex treatment. The study involved 999 otorhinolaryngologists from the outpatient network of 20 major Russian cities. The data of 74125 patients diagnosed with ChT were analyzed.

[Audiological aspects of rehabilitation after cochlear implantation in patients with inner ear malformations].

This study aims to develop a rapid and cost-effective method using an electronic nose (E-nose) and machine learning algorithms to predict whether ZEN levels in pet food exceed the regulatory limits (250 µg/kg), as set by Chinese pet food legislation.

Uncommon Nasal Mass Presentation: A Radiological Case Series.
