Multi-label classification according to the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is an Extreme Multi-label Classification task aiming to categorise health records according to a set of relevant ICD codes. We implemented PlaBERT, a new multi-label text classification head with per-label attention, on top of a BERT model. The model assessment is conducted on Electronic Health Records, conveying Discharge Summaries in three languages - English, Spanish, and Swedish.

Background: On May 8, 2021, Elon Musk, a well-recognized entrepreneur and business magnate, revealed on a popular television show that he has Asperger syndrome. Research has shown that people's perceptions of a condition are modified when influential individuals in society publicly disclose their diagnoses. It was anticipated that Musk's disclosure would contribute to discussions on the internet about the syndrome, and also to a potential change in the perception of this condition.

Publicly shared repositories play an important role in advancing performance benchmarks for some of the most important tasks in natural language processing (NLP) and healthcare in general. This study reviews most recent benchmarks based on the 2014 n2c2 de-identification dataset. Pre-processing challenges were uncovered, and attention brought to the discrepancies in reported number of Protected Health Information (PHI) entities among the studies.

Objective: To review misinformation related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on social media during the first phase of the pandemic and to discuss ways of countering misinformation.
Methods: We searched PubMed®, Scopus, Embase®, PsycInfo and Google Scholar databases on 5 May 2020 and 1 June 2020 for publications related to COVID-19 and social media which dealt with misinformation and which were primary empirical studies. We followed the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses and the guidelines for using a measurement tool to assess systematic reviews.

The purpose of this study was to examine Internet trends data and sentiment in tweets mentioning autism, Asperger syndrome, and Greta Thunberg during 2019. We used mixed methods in analyzing sentiment and attitudes in viral tweets and collected 1074 viral tweets on autism that were published in 2019 (tweets that got more than 100 likes). The sample from Twitter was compared with search patterns on Google.

We surveyed the use of e-health in a large-scale population-based study, involving a representative sample of the Norwegian population aged above 40 years. Two-thirds of the health professionals had used search engines, apps, social media or video services for health purposes - while this was the case for approximately half of the non-health professionals.

More pragmatic approaches, albeit less controllable and more challenging, offer the opportunity of identifying unexpected factors and connections.
