Fracture liaison service (FLS) is associated with lower subsequent fragility fracture risk and mortality: NoFRACT (the Norwegian capture the fracture initiative).

Unlabelled: Subsequent fracture rates and associated mortality were compared before and after the introduction of fracture liaison service (FLS). In 100,198 women and men, FLS was associated with 13% and 10% lower risk of subsequent fragility fractures and 18% and 15% lower mortality. The study suggests that FLS may prevent fractures.

The weekend course Time to be young? gathers young carers, aiming to support them to cope with their challenges in everyday life. This study sought to investigate the prevalence of various vision and hearing problems in 76-year-old Faroese individuals and examine possible regional variations in these health issues.

Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study design was used, surveying 175 participants, all 76-year-olds, from different regions in the Faroe Islands.

Design: In total 163 participants with erosive hand OA, synovitis by ultrasound, and finger joint pain of 40-80 ​mm on a visual analogue scale (VAS) will be recruited from a rheumatology outpatient clinic.

During public health crises such as pandemics, governments must rapidly adopt and implement wide-reaching policies and programs ("public policy interventions").
