Multidrug resistance (MDR) is a huge challenge for gastric cancer chemotherapy. Therefore, MDR accurate monitoring is of great significance for the treatment of gastric cancer. GMBP1, an extracellular internalization peptide, can target MDR gastric cancer cells through specific binding to GRP78, which is an MDR-related protein that is overexpressed in gastric cancer cells.

Developing cost-efficient large-scale uniform plasma jets represents a significant challenge for high performance in material processing and plasma medicine. Here, a - characteristic modulation approach is proposed to reduce the discharge power and increase the plasma scale and chemical activity in non-self-sustained atmospheric direct-current discharges. The electric field in discharge space is optimized to fundamentally empower simultaneously initiating all discharge cells far below Townsend breakdown potential and stably sustaining each plasma jet at low voltage.

A new ABW-type luminescent metal-organic framework (MOF) namely (HO)[ZnL(HO)]·3NMP·6HO (1), constructed with eco-friendly Zn and the multicarboxylate intraligand (LH) was designed, synthesized and fully characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, steady-state absorption and emission spectroscopy, and SEM observations. The MOF-based suspension sensor 1 (NMP) demonstrated high sensitivity to low-concentration pesticides of chlorothalonil (CTL), nitrofen (NF), trifluralin (TFL), and 2,6-dichloro-4-nitroaniline (DCN), which was assigned to the synergistic effect of the photoinduced electron transfer and the fluorescence resonance energy transfer. With the highest luminescent detection efficiency ( up to 11.

Theranostics that integrates diagnosis and treatment modalities has attracted great attention due to its abilities of personalized therapy and real-time monitoring of therapeutic outcome. Such a theranostic paradigm requires agents to simultaneously possess the capabilities of targeting, imaging, and treatment. Activatable molecular agents (AMAs) are promising for cancer theranostics, as they show a higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), real-time detection of cancer-associated biomarkers, lower normal tissue toxicity, and a higher therapeutic effect.

Radical resection is the most effective method for malignant tumor treatments. However, conventional imaging cannot fully satisfy the clinical needs of surgical navigation. This study presents a novel triple-modality positron emission tomography (PET)-Cerenkov radiation energy transfer (CRET)-confocal laser endomicroscopy (CLE) imaging strategy for intraoperative tumor imaging and surgical navigation.

Key Laboratory of Synthetic and Natural Functional Molecule Chemistry of Ministry of Education, College of Chemistry and Materials Science, Northwest University Xi'an 710127 China

Two rhodamine B-based fluorescent probes, BOS1 and BOS2, were designed and synthesized with good yields the condensation reactions between the -diaminobenzene modified rhodamine core structure (RBO) and salicylaldehyde derivatives. Both the probes exhibited remarkable absorbance-on and fluorescence-on responses to Al over other metal ions in ethanol-water (1 : 9, v/v) medium the rhodamine ring-opening approach, which can be used for "naked-eye" Al detection over a broad pH range (5-9). The fluorescence intensities of the probes were linear with the Al ion concentration, resulting in a low limit of detection of 1.

The exploitation of efficient renewable energy resources and the promotion of added value of agricultural products are always hot topics. In this study, we present a novel porous carbon material for high performance supercapacitor applications made from the byproduct of bean curd stick manufacture. The as-prepared carbon material possesses a hollow interconnected structure with a large specific surface area (2609 m g), while containing 5.

A cellulose acetate/ shell-derived activated carbon composite monolith for phenol adsorption.

RSC Adv

February 2018

Key Laboratory of Synthetic and Natural Functional Molecule Chemistry of Ministry of Education, College of Chemistry and Materials Science, Northwest University Xi'an 710127 Shaanxi Province China.

is expected to be a good candidate plant for desert reclamation ("greening") since it has notable tolerance to cold and drought and can grow in a wide range of areas with different soil types and moisture contents. In this study, we have developed a single-step method to fabricate a cellulose acetate (CA)/ shell (APS)-derived activated carbon (AC) composite monolith by thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) for removal of toxic phenol from aqueous solution. The composite monolith was easily fabricated by TIPS of a CA solution in the presence of the dispersed AC, in which AC was well loaded onto the monolithic skeleton of CA.
