Background: Acute pulmonary embolism represents the third most prevalent cardiovascular pathology, following coronary heart disease and hypertension. Its untreated mortality rate is as high as 20-30%, which represents a significant threat to patient survival. In view of the current lack of real-time monitoring techniques for acute pulmonary embolism, this study primarily investigates the potential of the pulsatility electrical impedance tomography (EIT) technique for the detection and real-time monitoring of acute pulmonary embolism through the collection and imaging of the pulsatile signal of pulmonary blood flow.

To reduce the influence of gain-phase errors and improve the performance of direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation, a robust sparse Bayesian two-dimensional (2D) DOA estimation method with gain-phase errors is proposed for L-shaped sensor arrays. The proposed method introduces an auxiliary angle to transform the 2D DOA estimation problem into two 1D angle estimation problems. A sparse representation model with gain-phase errors is constructed using the diagonal element vector of the cross-correlation covariance matrix of two submatrices of the L-shaped sensor array.

Green credit is a major policy innovation to guide enterprises to participate in environmental governance actively. This study uses the data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2007 to 2016, takes the green credit guideline (GCG) issued in 2012 as a quasi-natural experiment, and uses a difference in difference (DID) model to test the effect of GCG on the enterprises' export green-sophistication (EGS) and its internal and external mechanisms. The study finds that GCG improves enterprises' EGS and research and development (R&D) investment is the intermediation channel for GCG to affect EGS.

Abundant reactive gliosis and neuroinflammation are typical pathogenetic hallmarks of brains in Parkinson's disease (PD) patients, but regulation mechanisms are poorly understood. We are interested in role of programmed death-1 (PD-1) in glial reaction, neuroinflammation and neuronal injury in PD pathogenesis. Using PD mouse model and PD-1 knockout (KO) mice, we designed wild-type-control (WT-CON), WT-1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (WT-MPTP), PD-1-KO-control (KO-CON) and PD-1-KO-MPTP (KO-MPTP), and observed motor dysfunction of animal, morphological distribution of PD-1-positive cells, dopaminergic neuronal injury, glial activation and generation of inflammatory cytokines in midbrains by motor behavior detection, immunohistochemistry and western blot.

Organic light-emitting transistors (OLETs), with the capability of simultaneously functioning as a light-emitting stack and a thin-film transistor, have received considerable attention for potential applications in active-matrix flat-panel displays. Here, we demonstrate host-free deep-blue OLETs based on a novel small-molecule fluorescent emitter, 10,10'-bis(4-(1-phenyl-1H-benzo[]imidazol-2-yl)phenyl)-10H,10'H-9,9'-spirobi[acridine] (SPA-PBI), and a high-k dielectric, cross-linked poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) polymer. The deep-blue OLETs based on 2,2',2″-(1,3,5-benzinetriyl)-tris(1-phenyl-1-H-benzimidazole) (TPBi) as an electron-transport layer showed an extraordinarily high hole mobility of 4.

Organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) have acquired increasing attention because of their wide range of potential applications in electronics; nevertheless, high operating voltage and low carrier mobility are considered as major bottlenecks in their commercialization. In this work, we demonstrate low-voltage, flexible OFETs based on ultrathin single-crystal microribbons. Flexible OFETs fabricated with 2,7-dioctylbenzothieno[3,2-]benzothiophene (C8-BTBT) based solution-processed ultrathin single-crystal microribbon as the semiconductor layer and high- polymer, polysiloxane-poly(vinyl alcohol) composite as an insulator layer manifest a significantly low operating voltage of -4 V, and several devices showed a high mobility of >30 cm V s.

With the arrival of the information age, the electromagnetic energy in space increases constantly, resulting in the influence of electromagnetic waves on the charged aerosol particles in the environment which should be taken into account. Here, a numerical coupling method based on temporal and spatial scales is proposed to solve the difficulty in obtaining the trajectory of particles under the action of high-frequency electromagnetic waves. In the temporal scale, two constant forces with linear relationship are used to equilibrate the electromagnetic field forces under different conditions, however the above-mentioned equivalent method has the space limitation; in addition, on the spatial scale, the model with larger geometry should be divided into multiple basic modules spatially, the domain division method is adopted and due to the above method it can be used well in the basic module.
