Improvement of the treatment options via development of new drugs and treatment regimens that would be more convenient for patients is one of key options of improving the effecacy of the TB prevention and careis. Since the creation of new treatment regimens by minimizing the number of the drugs used and reducing the duration of treatment is the most promising and correct direction, macozinone, a new candidate of the benzothiazinone series, can become the basis for development of new chemotherapy regimens for drug-resistant forms of TB including the combination of macozinone with the most effective modern anti-TB drugs.

It is well known that the nomenclature and classification were changed in 2005 at the international consensus conference on intersex disorders, held in Chicago, where, among others, the following recommendations were proposed: (1) all children should be assigned a gender identity, and this should be done as quickly as possible, taking into account the time required for the examination. (2) all infants with congenital adrenal hyperplasia and 46,XX karyotype, including those with pronounced masculinization, must be raised as women. (3) Surgical treatment should be performed early and in cases of feminizing genitoplasty, clitoral reduction should be performed simultaneously with reconstruction of the urogenital sinus (separation of the vagina and urethra).

Surprisingly few attempts have been made to quantify the simultaneous contribution of well-established risk factors to CVD mortality differences between countries. We aimed to develop and critically appraise an approach to doing so, applying it to the substantial CVD mortality gap between Russia and Norway using survey data in three cities and mortality risks from the Emerging Risk Factor Collaboration. We estimated the absolute and relative differences in CVD mortality at ages 40-69 years between countries attributable to the risk factors, under the counterfactual that the age- and sex-specific risk factor profile in Russia was as in Norway, and vice-versa.
