High requirements for macro- and micronutrients of the organism of a pregnant woman living in the Far North are associated with the influence of extreme factors of high latitudes, and the needs of the mother and the growing fetus. Only the products of the unique food culture of the Arctic people - the Nenets, make it possible to meet the emerging needs. of the work was to study the impact of traditional nutrition on the reproductive health of Nenets women living in the Arctic zone of Western Siberia.

In this article, the functional group composition of the spruce (Pícea ábies) and birch (Bétula péndula) phloem lignin is described. The features of the chemical structure were studied by analyzing dioxane lignin using the elemental analysis, UV-Vis, FT-IR, and 1D NMR spectroscopy. For comparison, samples of xylem dioxane lignin isolated from the corresponding wood species were also analyzed.

Lignins of non-woody fast-growing plants cause high interest in recent time as a potential source of raw materials for biorefining. Studying of the lignin structure in shrubs will allow obtaining the information about processes of biosynthesis of these plants and developing methods of their delignification for bioprocessing industry. We studied the structure of raspberry dioxane lignin (Rubus idaeus L.

Currently, the study of the scattering of ultrashort X-ray pulses (USPs) by various objects is an urgent task, in connection with the creation of powerful sources of USP generation. In this paper, the theory of the scattering of attosecond pulses by polyatomic structures is developed taking into account the magnetic component of USPs. It is shown that the scattering spectra depend not only on the structure of the target, but also on other characteristics of USPs.

Fish muscle may constitute one of the main sources of iodine (I) for the indigenous peoples of the Russian Arctic, although limited information is available about its content in commonly consumed fish species. In the current study, bromine (Br), I, the essential elements (copper, selenium and zinc) and other non-essential elements - specifically mercury, arsenic (As), cadmium, lead and nickel - have been quantified in 10 fish species consumed by people living in the Nenets and Chukotka Regions. Fish muscle was analysed by ICP-MS after nitric acid or tetramethylammonium hydroxide digestion.

Among marine mammals, gray and bowhead whales contain large amounts of fat and thereby constitute crucial dietary components of the traditional diet of indigenous peoples of the Eastern Arctic. Despite the high nutritional and cultural value of gray and bowhead whales, there is a risk of persistent organic pollutant (POP) intake by indigenous individuals who use marine mammals as their main source of fat. POPs are lipophilic pollutants and are known to accumulate and magnify along the marine food web.

The creation of hydrophobic anti-icing and self-cleaning coatings is a relevant task for many industrial sectors. The potential field of application includes production of liquid and gas separators and filters, the field of textiles and clothing, construction and new materials, optical and microelectronic devices, the field of automobile construction and maritime shipping as well as energy and agriculture. The article suggests a new approach to the creation of superhydrophobic anti-icing coatings, by drawing peeled multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) to the sample surface.

The number of neurotransmitter-filled vesicles released into the synaptic cleft with each action potential dictates the reliability of synaptic transmission. Variability of this fundamental property provides diversity of synaptic function across brain regions, but the source of this variability is unclear. The prevailing view is that release of a single (univesicular release, UVR) or multiple vesicles (multivesicular release, MVR) reflects variability in vesicle release probability, a notion that is well-supported by the calcium-dependence of release mode.

The aim of the study was to analyze the combustion of hydrolysis lignin in industrial plants which use pulverized combustible and which are characterized by very high heating rates (up to 10 K/min). Pulverized samples of hydrolysis lignin and of spruce bark or spruce trunk for comparison were injected in a drop tube furnace under an oxidative flow (synthetic air) and under an isothermal temperature (between 800 and 1200 °C) in the reaction zone. The gaseous and particulate emissions were analyzed.

The professional activity in shifts in the Arctic contributes to the development of unfavorable functional status and destructive personal qualities of workers, which leads to a decrease in the level of mental health and efficiency of labor activity. The reference to the risk-oriented approach is conditioned by the need to predict the professional efficiency of shift personnel. The purpose of this study is to determine the psychological risks of oil and gas workers with a shift work organization in the Arctic.

At present, there are many methods for obtaining quantum entanglement of particles with an electromagnetic field. Most methods have a low probability of quantum entanglement and not an exact theoretical apparatus based on an approximate solution of the Schrodinger equation. There is a need for new methods for obtaining quantum-entangled particles and mathematically accurate studies of such methods.

The article presents the results of studies of the direct current (DC) potential of the brain level distribution in elderly women with high anxiety. Analysis of the DC-potential of the brain level distribution was held by mapping obtained by measuring the monopolar values of the DC-potential of the brain and calculating deviations in each of the leads from the average records which were registrated in all areas of the head. The results of the study indicate an increase in the background level of the DC-potential in most parts of the brain and the peculiarity of its distribution in elderly women with a high level of anxiety.

The thermal degradation of wood biofuels (spruce, pine), of coals from different fields of the Russian Federation and of hydrolysis lignin is investigated using a thermogravimetric analyzer under different heating conditions and under non-oxidative or oxidative atmospheres. The samples are indeed submitted to a linear temperature ramp of 10K/min or to a temperature ramp of 200K/min up to a residence temperature between 250 and 450°C where they are maintained during 4h (isothermal conditions). The values of the kinetic parameters are determined for these different samples in both thermal conditions, either using the differential isoconversional method or by means of an Extended Independent Parallel Reaction (EIPR) model.
