Liposomes have attracted attention in biomedicine and pharmacy for their benefits including reduced toxicity, extended pharmacokinetics, and biocompatibility. However, their limitations include susceptibility to blood clearance, rapid disintegration, and lack of functionality, restricting their further applications. To address these challenges, inspired by the unique topological features of cyclic polymers and the specific binding property of the choline phosphate (CP) lipid, dipole-dipole interactions between CP molecules are utilized to create a detachable cyclic PEG-embedded CP liposome (d-cycPEG-lipo).

Ammonium-ion supercapacitors (AISCs) offer considerable potential for future development owing to their low cost, high safety, environmental sustainability, and efficient electrochemical energy storage capabilities. The rapid and efficient charge-transfer process at the AISC can endow them with high capacitive and cycling stabilities. However, the prolonged intercalation/deintercalation of NH in layered and framework materials often results in the cleavage of the active sites and the deconstruction of the framework, which makes it difficult to achieve long-term stable energy storage while maintaining high capacitance in the electrode materials.

The heterogeneous catalysis of the composite membrane not only exerts the synergistic effect of different materials but also enable the recyclable use of catalysts, making it an ideal and sustainable strategy for removing pollutants in water. In this study, a novel black phosphorus/graphene/titanium dioxide (BP/GR/TiO) membrane was successfully prepared through the sol-gel method. The composite membrane not only overcame the instability of black phosphorus and the rapid recombination of e/h pairs in titanium dioxide but also synergized with GR to produce a new reactive oxygen species (ROS), singlet oxygen (O), with a longer lifetime and migration distance.

Exogenous spatial attention attenuates audiovisual integration (AVI). Previous studies on the effects of exogenous spatial attention on AVI have focused on the inhibition of return (IOR) effect induced by visual cues and the facilitation effect induced by auditory cues, but the differences between the effects of exogenous spatial attention (induced by visual and auditory cues) on AVI remain unclear. The present study used the exogenous spatial cue-target paradigm and manipulated cue stimulus modality (visual cue, auditory cue) in two experiments (Experiment 1: facilitation effect; Experiment 2: IOR effect) to examine the effects of exogenous spatial attention (evoked by cues in different modalities) on AVI.

Bilayer transition metal chalcogenides (TMDs) have gradually attracted a great deal of attention due to the higher density of states and carrier mobility than monolayer TMDs. Controlling the uniformity of the layer number is very crucial because it will intensively influence the physical properties. However, it is difficult to synthesize equal-bilayer (EB) TMDs with two identical layers via a normal layer-by-layer strategy.

The traditional liquid electrolytes pose safety hazards primarily attributed to the flammability of organic solvent, whereas solid-state electrolytes can significantly enhance the safety of lithium-ion batteries. Polymer solid electrolytes are being considered as an effective solution due to their excellent flexibility and low cost, but they suffer low ionic conductivity or high interface impedance. Here, the ketone-containing allyl acetoacetate monomers were polymerized within the cellulose membrane via UV photopolymerization to prepare a cellulose-supported poly-allyl acetoacetate polymer electrolyte.

ConspectusIn the past decade, single-atom skeletal editing, which involves the precise insertion, deletion, or exchange of single atoms in the core skeleton of a molecule, has emerged as a promising synthetic strategy for the rapid construction or diversification of complex molecules without laborious synthetic processes. Among them, carbene-initiated skeletal editing is particularly appealing due to the ready availability and diverse reactivities of carbene species. The initial endeavors to modify the core skeleton of heteroarenes through carbon-atom insertion could date back to 1881, when Ciamician and Denstedt described the conversion of pyrroles to pyridines by trapping haloform-derived free carbene.
