Background: Occupational burnout is a growing concern in frontline roles such as vascular surgery, and is associated with medical errors and shortened careers. Our aim is to measure burnout, resilience, and associated risk factors among vascular surgeons (VS) in the United Kingdom (UK).
Methods: We carried out an electronic survey of active VS in the UK using validated self-report questionnaires, including the following: Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI), Brief Resilience Scale (BRS), and information on job characteristics, health, and well-being.

Importance: One-year outcomes from the Early Venous Reflux Ablation (EVRA) randomized trial showed accelerated venous leg ulcer healing and greater ulcer-free time for participants who are treated with early endovenous ablation of lower extremity superficial reflux.
Objective: To evaluate the clinical and cost-effectiveness of early endovenous ablation of superficial venous reflux in patients with venous leg ulceration.
Design, Setting, And Participants: Between October 24, 2013, and September 27, 2016, the EVRA randomized clinical trial enrolled 450 participants (450 legs) with venous leg ulceration of less than 6 months' duration and superficial venous reflux.

We present the rare case of a 66-year-old Caucasian male patient presenting with intermittent left-side abdominal pain. He underwent a kidneys, ureters, and bladder computed tomography scan on which an incidental 45-mm giant aneurysm of the left anterior descending coronary artery was discovered along with 55-mm right-sided and 62-mm left-sided common iliac artery aneurysms and a 100-mm benign renal oncocytoma. He underwent on-pump coronary artery bypass grafting of the left anterior descending, left circumflex and right coronary arteries using internal mammary artery and saphenous vein grafts.

Purpose: To analyze the long-term outcome in terms of nonrelapse mortality (NRM), relapse rate (RR), progression-free survival (PFS), and overall survival (OS) in patients with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) treated with allogeneic stem-cell transplantation (alloSCT).
Patients And Methods: Forty-five patients with AITL who had undergone an alloSCT between January 1998 and December 2005 and were registered in the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation database were analyzed. Median age was 48 years (range, 23 to 68 years), 34 patients had received > or = two lines of chemotherapy before alloSCT, and 11 patients had experienced treatment failure with a prior autologous stem-cell transplantation.

In a retrospective analysis, paradoxical deterioration of lymph node tuberculosis in human immunodeficiency virus-uninfected patients was common, occurring in 25 (23%) of 109 patients after treatment had been given for a median of 46 days (interquartile range, 21-139 days) and persisting for a median of 67.5 days (interquartile range, 34-111 days). We found no association between the use of steroids and the duration of reaction.
