Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of double filtration plasmapheresis combined with immunosuppressive agents in the treatment of severe lupus nephritis.

Method: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the medical records of 102 cases of severe lupus nephritis treated between January 2021 and December 2022 in the General Practice Department at the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College. Patients who received immunosuppressive agents were included in the control group and those who received additional double filtration plasmapheresis were included in the observation group.

Effect of Dexmedetomidine on the ED and ED of Sufentanil in Patient-Controlled Intravenous Analgesia After Cesarean Section: A Randomized, Controlled, Double-Blind Trial.

Patients And Methods: Parturients who underwent elective cesarean section (n = 80) were randomly assigned to either the sufentanil group (S group) or the dexmedetomidine-sufentanil combination group (DS group). Introduction: This study protocol specifies the primary research line and theoretical framework of the 2023 Survey of the Psychology and Behavior of the Chinese Population. It aims to establish a consistent database of Chinese residents' psychological and behavioral surveys through multi-center and large-sample cross-sectional surveys to provide robust data support for developing research in related fields. It will track the public's physical and psychological health more comprehensively and systematically.

Expression and clinical significance of SYNE3 in non-small cell lung cancer.

Objective: To detect the expression of Spectrin Repeat Containing Nuclear Envelope Family Member 3 (SYNE3) and Cluster of Differentiation 34 (CD34) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It also aimed to explore the relationship between SYNE3 and NSCLC angiogenesis and clinicopathologic features to identify new biomarkers for NSCLC.

Methods: Forty-five NSCLC stage IA-IVB tissue specimens from patients diagnosed at Bazhong Central Hospital were collected from January to September 2022, along with 45 para-cancerous normal lung tissues as controls.

Radiotherapy is a common therapeutic strategy for various solid tumors, with vascular endothelial injury being a common side effect. The study aimed to examine the effect of long non-coding RNA PVT1 on radiation-induced vascular endothelial cell injury, and explore the possible underlying mechanism. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were exposed to different doses of X ray to mimic radiation.

Factors influencing quality of life in early-stage upper gastrointestinal cancer patients in Nanchong city: a qualitative study.

Objectives: To identify the determinants of quality of life (QoL) among early-stage upper gastrointestinal cancer (UGIC) patients in Nanchong City to inform the development of targeted treatment plans.

Methods: In this retrospective study, 642 patients diagnosed with UGIC were included. A phenomenological approach was employed, involving in-depth face-to-face interviews to explore patients' real-life experiences with QoL, with an emphasis on spiritual and psychological aspects.

Methods: The mRNA expression profiles of LUAD samples were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. The "CIBERSORT" R package was employed to calculate the proportion of innate immune cell infiltration in both tumor and adjacent normal tissues.

Objective: To investigate the potential changes of glucose metabolism and glucose transporter protein (GLUT) in the visual cortex of formally deprived amblyopic rats, as well as the effects of enriched environments on the levels of nerve conduction and glucose metabolism in the visual cortex of amblyopic rats.

Methods: 36 rats were randomly divided into three groups: CON + SE (n = 12), MD + SE (n = 12) and MD + EE (n = 12). The right eyelids of both MD + SE and MD + EE groups were sutured.

Preparation of a novel antibacterial magnesium carbonate coating on a titanium surface and its biocompatibility.

Magnesium-based coatings have attracted great attention in surface modification of titanium implants due to their superior angiogenic and osteogenic properties. However, their biological effects as a carbonate-based constituent remain unrevealed. In this study, magnesium carbonate coatings were prepared on titanium surfaces under hydrothermal conditions and subsequently treated with hydrogen peroxide.

Fracture fixation in an ageing population is challenging and fixation failure increases mortality and societal costs. We report a novel fracture fixation treatment by applying a hydroxyapatite (HA) based biomaterial at the bone-implant interface and biologically activating the biomaterial by systemic administration of a bisphosphonate (zoledronic acid, ZA). We first used an animal model of implant integration and applied a calcium sulphate (CaS)/HA biomaterial around a metallic screw in the tibia of osteoporotic rats.

Methods: Thirty-three-week-old guinea pigs were randomly divided into normal control (NC, n = 10), monocularly form-deprived (FDM, n = 10), and FDM treated with 1% atropine (FDM + AT, n = 10) groups. The diopter and axial length were measured at 0, 2, and 4 weeks.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of combined glucocorticoids (GCs) and cyclophosphamide (CYC) treatment in Graves' ophthalmopathy (GO).

Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and four Chinese databases (Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP), WanFang, and SinoMed) for any published randomized controlled trials (RCTs) produced from inception to December 1, 2023. Articles obtained using appropriate keywords were selected independently by two reviewers according to the established inclusion and exclusion criteria.
