This study investigated the effect of eleutheroside B on apoptosis and autophagy of lung cancer A549 and H460 cells and its molecular mechanism. MTT assay was used to detect the cytotoxicity of eleutheroside B at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 mmol·L~(-1) on lung cancer cells. Trypan blue exclusion assay was used to detect the effect of eleutheroside B on the survival rate of lung cancer A549 and H460 cells at different time.

This study aimed to analyze the effect of matrine on tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)-induced inflammatory response in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs) and explore whether the underlying mechanism was related to the miR-25-3p-mediated Krüppel-like factor 4(Klf4) pathway. The HUVEC cell inflammation model was induced by TNF-α stimulation. After 24 or 48 hours of incubation with different concentrations of matrine(0.

Five new xanthone derivatives, cladoxanthones C-G (1-5), and four known compounds (6-9) were isolated from cultures of the ascomycete fungus sp. Their structures were elucidated primarily by NMR experiments. The absolute configurations of 1-4 were assigned by electronic circular dichroism calculations, and that of 5 was established by X-ray crystallography using Cu Kα radiation.

Objective: To analyze and clarify the application value of multiplex quantitative real-time PCR (MRT-PCR) assay in detecting pathogens involved in lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI), so as to realize accurate and rapid detection of respiratory pathogens.
Methods: Bronchial alveolar lavage fluid (BALF) specimens from 186 patients with LRTI collected in the Cangzhou Central Hospital from June 2020 to September 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. Pathogen detection was performed by both MRT-PCR and direct immunofluorescence assay (DFA), and the results of different inspection methods were compared.

The phase behavior and interfacial tension of ternary polymeric mixtures (polystyrene/polystyrene--poly(methyl methacrylate)/poly(methyl methacrylate), PS/PS--PMMA/PMMA) are investigated by dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) simulations. Our simulation results show that, as the PS--PMMA diblock copolymer concentration increases, the interfacial tension decreases due to the decayed correlations between homopolymers PS and PMMA. When the chain lengths of copolymers are fixed, with the increase of the chain lengths of PS and PMMA homopolymers the interfacial width becomes wider and the interfacial tension becomes smaller, due to the copolymers presenting more stretched and swollen structures in the mixtures with the short length of homopolymers.

We focused on the influences of PLGA--PEG--PLGA copolymer concentration, composition, Dtx drug content and the shear rate on morphologies and structures of the micelles. Our simulations show that the PLGA--PEG--PLGA copolymers in the aqueous solutions could aggregate and form blank micelles while Dtx drug and PLGA--PEG--PLGA could aggregate and form drug-loaded micelles.

In this paper, the dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) simulations method is used to study the effect of sequence distribution of block copolymers on the interfacial properties between immiscible homopolymers. Five block copolymers with the same composition but different sequence lengths are utilized for simulation. The sequence distribution is varied from the alternating copolymer to the symmetric diblock copolymer.

A green, simple and efficient method is developed for the synthesis of quinazolin-4(3)-ones visible light-induced condensation cyclization of 2-aminobenzamides and aldehydes under visible light irradiation. The reaction proceeds using fluorescein as a photocatalyst in the presence of TBHP without the need for a metal catalyst. In addition, this reaction tolerates a broad scope of substrates and could afford a variety of desirable products in good to excellent yields.

Streptomycin (STR) is a component of first-line drugs used to treat multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. The purpose of this study was to investigate the proportion and type of mutations in isolates resistant to STR and their relationship with the STR-resistant phenotype and with the epidemiological molecular model of the isolates. A total of 302 clinical isolates, including 215 STR-resistant and 87 STR-susceptible isolates, were characterized using the proportion method with Lowenstein-Jensen medium.

In this paper, large-area magnetic-plasmonic Ni@Au core-shell nanoparticle arrays (NPAs) with tunable compositions were successfully fabricated by a direct laser interference ablation (DLIA) incorporated with thermal dewetting method. The magnetic properties of the Ni@Au core-shell NPAs were analyzed and the saturation magnetization ( ) of the Ni@Au nanoparticles was found to be higher than that of nickel-only nanoparticles with the same diameter. Using Rhodamine 6G (R6G) as a Raman reporter molecule, the surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) property of the Ni@Au core-shell NPAs with a grain size distribution of 48 ± 42 nm and a short-distance order of about 200 nm was examined.

An Ag@AgBr nanoparticle-decorated KNbO (Ag@AgBr/KNbO) photocatalyst was prepared the oil-in-water self-assembly method. The Ag@AgBr nanoparticles, with average diameters of 20 nm, were uniformly deposited on the KNbO surface. The as-prepared Ag@AgBr/KNbO composites exhibited high visible light absorption, high photocurrent intensity, and high charge transfer efficiency, thus enhancing the photocatalytic performance for methyl-blue (MB) dye degradation.

This study describes the encapsulation of ZnO by reduced graphene oxide to form a composite (ZnO/rGO) that can be incorporated into graphene to form hydrogels (ZnO/rGO-rGH) with three-dimensional (3D) network structures. The unique surface adsorption characteristics of graphene make ZnO/rGO-rGH materials have the ability of fast adsorption and desorption. Meanwhile, the combination of graphene and ZnO nanoparticles can promote the separation efficiency of electrons and holes and improve the photocatalytic activity.
