This research aimed to examine the association of job engagement among dental faculties in Kerala with certain sociodemographic and job-related factors. Job engagement levels were assessed using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, and comparisons were performed using the Mann-Whitney U-test and Kruskal-Wallis test. The findings revealed significant differences in job engagement based on the type of college, level of autonomy, and provision for time-bound cadre promotions.

Based on the excellent nutrient level, the current study was focused on isolation and anti-bacterial activity of the from marine mangrove soil samples. As result, 10 different strains of strains were identified on isolation agar plates. The identified strains were shown with white, clear, uncontaminated well matured spore producing ability.

Neuroanatomical correlates of apathy and disinhibition, behavioral abnormalities in behavioral variant Frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD) remain unclear. In this study 45 participants (25 bvFTD patients and 20 controls) provided data on clinical, neuropsychological, behavioral (on Frontal Systems Behavior (FrSBe) Scale), cortical volume (on voxel-based morphometry (VBM)) and tract based spatial fractional anisotropy ((FA) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), allowing examination of the neural correlates of apathy and disinhibition. The patients with bvFTD had predominant grey matter loss and corresponding white matter fractional anisotropy reduction in the frontal and temporal lobe compared to the controls.

The present work reports the green synthesis of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) using aqueous Tabernaemontana divaricata green leaf extract. ZnO NPs have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Ultra Violet-Visible (UV-Vis) studies, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Fourier Transform-Infra Red (FT-IR) analysis. XRD pattern analysis confirms the presence of pure hexagonal wurtzite crystalline structure of ZnO.

Aim Of Study: The photo-neutron dose equivalents of 15 MV Elekta precise accelerators were measured for different depths in phantom, for various field sizes, at different distances from the isocenter in the patient plane and for various wedged fields.
Materials And Methods: Fast and thermal neutrons are measured using passive detectors such as Columbia Resin-39 and pair of thermoluminescent dosimetry (TLD) 600 and TLD 700 detector from Elekta medical linear accelerator.
Results: It is found that fast photo-neutron dose rate decreases as the depth increases, with a maximum of 0.

Background: Medical image segmentation is an essential step for most consequent image analysis tasks. Medical images can be segmented manually, but the accuracy of image segmentation using the automated segmentation algorithms is more when compared with the manual calculations. In this paper, an automated segmentation and classification of tissues are proposed for MR brain images.

Two organic cocrystals namely, 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione:2-naphthoxyacetic acid [(phendione)(2-naa)] (1) and 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione:2-formylphenoxyacetic acid [(phendione)(2-fpaa)] (2) were synthesized and studied by single crystal XRD, FT-IR, NMR, thermogravimetric, and powder X-ray diffraction analysis. The molecular properties of cocrystals were studied using density functional theory (DFT), basis set B3LYP/6-31G(d,p). Both cocrystals are stabilized through intermolecular hydrogen bonding (OH⋯N).

A series of novel aryl-3,3'-bis(indolyl)methanes (BIMs) were synthesized using indole and formylphenoxyaliphatic acid(s) in water in the absence of any catalyst. The formylphenoxyaliphatic acid behaves as an in situ Bronsted-Lowry acid catalyst in water. UV-Visible and fluorescence spectra of the compounds were recorded in selected solvents.

Neuroimaging biomarkers have potential role in the early diagnosis as well as periodic follow-up of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (AD). Structural imaging biomarkers can be used to predict those who are at risk or in preclinical stages of AD. It could possibly be useful even in predicting the conversion of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) an early stage of AD to AD.

In this paper, a computerized scheme for automatic detection of cancerous lesion in mammograms is examined. Breast lesions in mammograms are an area with an abnormality or alteration in the breast tissues. Diagnosis of these lesions at the early stage is a very difficult task as the cancerous lesions are embedded in normal breast tissue structures.

Early detection of microcalcification clusters in breast tissue will significantly increase the survival rate of the patients. Radiologists use mammography for breast cancer diagnosis at early stage. It is a very challenging and difficult task for radiologists to correctly classify the abnormal regions in the breast tissue, because mammograms are noisy images.
