The world will be dependent on the development of novel feed ingredients from renewable sources to ensure sustainable growth of the aquaculture industry. Zooplankton like Calanus finmarchicus are viable new raw material candidates, as they have optimal nutrient profiles for aquatic animals and may be sustainably harvested in large volumes. In this study, the aim was to investigate if a protein hydrolysate of C.

The aim of the present study was to critically evaluate the potential of using NIR and Raman spectroscopy for prediction of fatty acid features and single fatty acids in salmon muscle. The study was based on 618 homogenized salmon muscle samples acquired from Atlantic salmon representing a one year-class nucleus, fed the same high fish oil feed. NIR and Raman spectra were used to make regression models for fatty acid features and single fatty acids measured by gas chromatography.

The laser Raman and IR spectra of 5-chlorocytosine have been recorded and accurately assigned in the solid state using Density functional calculations (DFT) together with the linear scaling equation procedure (LSE) and the solid state simulation of the crystal unit cell through a tetramer form. These results remarkably improve those reported previously by other authors. Several new scaling equations were proposed to be used in related molecules.
