Given the growing interest in the metabolic heterogeneity of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and portal vein tumour thrombus (PVTT). This study comprehensively analysed the metabolic heterogeneity of HCC, PVTT, and normal liver samples using multi-omics combinations. A single-cell RNA sequencing dataset encompassing six major cell types was obtained for integrated analysis.

Background: Malignant liver tumors seriously endanger human health. Among different therapeutic approaches, high-frequency irreversible electroporation (H-FIRE) is a recently emerging tumor ablation technique. The objective of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and safety of ultrasound-guided percutaneous H-FIRE using four electrode needles in porcine livers.

Idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN) is a common type of primary glomerulonephritis, which pathogenesis are highly involved protein and immune regulation. Therefore, we investigated protein expression in different microregions of the IMN kidney tissue. We used laser capture microdissection and mass spectrometry to identify the proteins in the kidney tissue.

Background: Robotic distal pancreatectomy has increasingly been accepted as it has overcome some of the limitations of open distal pancreatectomy, whilst the outcomes following robotic radical antegrade modular pancreatosplenectomy (RAMPS) in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) are still uncertain. This study aimed to evaluate the short and long-term outcomes of robotic RAMPS and open RAMPS for PDAC.
Methods: The patients who underwent robotic RAMPS and open RAMPS for PDAC at our clinical centre between January 2017 and December 2021 were reviewed.

Background: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a severe systemic autoimmune disease with multiple manifestations. Lysine crotonylation (Kcr) is a newly discovered posttranslational modification epigenetic pattern that may affect gene expression and is linked to diseases causally.
Methods: We collected blood samples from 11 SLE individuals and 36 healthy subjects.

Purpose: Oral adenoid cystic carcinoma (OACC) has high rates of both local-regional recurrence and distant metastasis. The objective of this study is to investigate the impact of Khib on OACC and its potential as a targeted therapeutic intervention. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN: We investigated the DEPs (differentially expressed proteins) and DHMPs between OACC-T and OACC-N using LC-MS/MS-based quantitative proteomics and using several bioinformatics methods, including GO enrichment analysis, KEGG pathway analysis, subcellular localization prediction, MEA (motif enrichment analysis), and PPI (protein-protein interaction networks) to illustrate how Khib modification interfere with OACC evolution.

Background: Pancreatic cancer is a fatal tumor, and the status of perineural invasion (PNI) of pancreatic cancer was positively related to poor prognosis including overall survival and recurrence-free survival. This study aims to develop and validate a predictive model based on serum biomarkers to accurately predict the perineural invasion.

Finding new targets is necessary for understanding tumorigenesis and developing cancer therapeutics. DExH-box helicase 9 (DHX9) plays a central role in many cellular processes but its expression pattern and prognostic value in most types of cancer remain unclear. In this study, we extracted pan-cancer data from TCGA and GEO databases to explore the prognostic and immunological role of DHX9.

Introduction: Malignant pancreatic cancer has poor long-term survival. Increasing evidence shows that (family with sequence similarity 83 member A) plays a vital role in tumorigenesis and malignant progression in some human cancer types. The present study explored the potential mechanism of in improving the prognosis of pancreatic cancer patients.

Aloe-emodin (AE) has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of several cancer cell lines, including human nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cell lines. In this study, we confirmed that AE inhibited malignant biological behaviors, including cell viability, abnormal proliferation, apoptosis, and migration of NPC cells. Western blotting analysis revealed that AE upregulated the expression of DUSP1, an endogenous inhibitor of multiple cancer-associated signaling pathways, resulting in blockage of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK)-1/2, protein kinase B (AKT), and p38-mitogen activated protein kinase(p38-MAPK) signaling pathways in NPC cell lines.

As a regulatory subunit of cyclin kinase, CKS1B promotes cancer development and is associated with poor prognosis in multiple cancer patients. However, the intrinsic role of CKS1B in pancreatic cancer remains elusive. In our research, CKS1B expression in pancreatic tumor tissue was higher than that in normal tissue by TCGA, Oncomine and CPTAC databases analysis.

Background: Transient receptor potential (TRP) channels have high permeability to Ca2 ions because they are non-selective ion channels. TRP channels have been implicated in tumor onset and progression, proliferation, and migration in recent years. However, the prognostic value of genes related to TRP and their specific mechanism in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD) are yet to be understood.

Introduction/objectives: To seek significant features of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) by utilizing bioinformatics analysis.
Method: Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) was used to quantify lysine crotonylation (Kcr) and lysine 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation (Khib) in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients and normal controls.
Results: Seventy-six differentially modified proteins (DMPs) dually modified by Kcr and Khib were identified between SLE patients and healthy people.
