Background: Concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CRT) is the standard treatment for locally advanced cervical cancer. We investigated how additional bone marrow sparing (BMS) affects the clinical outcomes.
Methods: We queried MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science Core Collection, Google Scholar, Sinomed, CNKI, and Wanfang databases for articles published in English or Chinese between 2010/01/01 and 2023/10/31.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT), a promising treatment modality, employs photosensitizers to generate cytotoxic reactive oxygen species (ROS) within localized tumor regions. This technique involves administering a photosensitizer followed by light activation in the presence of oxygen (O), resulting in cytotoxic ROS production. PDT's spatiotemporal selectivity, minimally invasive nature, and compatibility with other treatment modalities make it a compelling therapeutic approach.

Cyclosporine A (CsA) is an immunosuppressive drug that is widely used in clinical practice. Due to its narrow therapeutic window and the significant differences between individuals, the therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of CsA is required to ensure patient safety. In this study, we screened a novel aptamer, named CsA7, which could specifically recognize CsA, and developed a AuNPs colorimetric aptasensor for the rapid detection of CsA.

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is a common condition and a leading cause of health function loss worldwide. This study assessed the impact of occupational factors on LBP using Mendelian Randomization (MR) method, controlling for confounding variables.
Methods: Based on publicly available genome-wide association studies (GWAS), two-sample univariate and multivariate MR analyses were performed to assess the causal effect of occupational factors on LBP.

Background: Gastric cancer (GC), an extremely aggressive tumor with a very different prognosis, is the third leading cause of cancer-related mortality. We aimed to construct a ferroptosis-related prognostic model that can be distinguished prognostically.
Methods: The gene expression and the clinical data of GC patients were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus database (GEO).

Objective: To investigate the effect of transforming growth factor β (TGF-β ) induced proliferation of ligamentum flavum cells and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy and its effect on connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) expression.
Methods: The ligamentum flavum tissue in lumbar intervertebral disc herniation was extracted and the ligamentum flavum cells were isolated and cultured by collagenase pre-digestion method. Morphological observation, immunofluorescence staining observation, and MTT assay were used for cell identification.

The treatment strategy for low-grade gliomas (LGGs) is still controversial, and there are no standardized criteria to predict the prognosis of patients with LGGs. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a routine test for preoperative diagnosis for LGG and can reflect the destructive features for the tumor. In the present study, we aimed to explore the relationship between the MRI features and prognosis in patients with LGG.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Maxim eye drops on morphology and apoptosis in lacrimal glands of the experimental dry eye rabbit model. A total of thirty-six male rabbits were divided into six study groups, consisting of the control group and the dry eye rabbit model group (without any treatment), the dry eye rabbit model group treated with testosterone, and the dry eye rabbit model group treated with different concentrations of Maxim eye drops (1.0 mg/ml, 1.
