The incidence of lung cancer is the highest among all tumors, and treatment has become an urgent problem to be solved. The Drug-eluting bead-based bronchial arterial chemoembolization (DEB-BACE) combination immunotherapy is a rare neoadjuvant therapy for lung cancer surgery, which can significantly reduce the time it takes for lung cancer patients to undergo surgery.We report a male patient, aged 59-year-old, with Stage-III b squamous cell lung cancer accompanied by hemoptysis underwent surgical resection after DEB-BACE combination immunotherapy treatment 21 days later without obvious adverse events.

In this study, EnDM-CPP is proposed, which combines machine learning algorithms (SVM and CatBoost) with convolutional neural networks (CNN and TextCNN).

This study found that resveratrol (Res) and PVA self-assembled and cross-linked through the formation of strong hydrogen bonds after freeze-thawing, forming an easily available PVA-Res supramolecular hydrogel through a green process.

Interventional treatment of right lower lobe bronchial schwannoma under bronchoscopy: A case report and literature review.

Bronchial schwannoma is a rare benign tumor traditionally managed through surgical resection. This case report describes a 69-year-old Chinese woman with an asymptomatic bronchial schwannoma incidentally discovered during routine health check-up. Computed tomography (CT) and bronchoscopy revealed a broad-based mass (27 mm × 16 mm) at the right lower lobe bronchus, causing complete obstruction of the dorsal segment and severe stenosis (>80%) of the basal segment.

Background: Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy has become the most popular weight loss surgery currently, but it inevitably leaves multiple small scars in the abdomen. Although the appearance of single-incision laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy achieve better cosmetic results, it may lead to postoperative complications such as umbilical hernia and umbilical infection. The author has developed a new surgical approach that can compensate for these deficiencies, which we called needlescopic laparoscope sleeve gastrectomy (NLSG).

Clinical Application Study of External Fixation Treatment Using Removed Locking Plates in Patients with Failed Debridement and Antimicrobial Therapy for Infection after Internal Fixation of Fractures.

The main focus of this study is to investigate the clinical efficacy of external fixation treatment using removed locking plates in patients with failed debridement and antimicrobial therapy of infection after internal fixation of fractures. From January 2019 to January 2023, our medical institution treated 13 patients who had failed debridement and antimicrobial therapy for infection after internal fixation of fractures. All patients had their internal fixation devices removed, underwent thorough debridement, and then the removed locking plates were repurposed for external fixation treatment.

Dataset for identifying paracentral acute middle maculopathy lesions in spectral-domain optical coherence tomography images.

This paper introduces a comprehensive dataset of spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) images of human eyes affected by paracentral acute middle maculopathy (PAMM). Acquired with an SD-OCT device (Optovue, Fremont, California, USA), the dataset includes 133 OCT images of lesions. Each image is paired with a corresponding YOLO label in TXT format, representing manually annotated lesion regions of PAMM, created with the assistance of ophthalmologists.

Mechanism of miR-503-5p on cardiac hemangioma and clinical validation.

It has been claimed that microRNA 503-5p (miR-503-5p) is the key to the future diagnosis and treatment of cardiac hemangioma (CH), but the relationship between the two has not been fully validated. In this study, we analyzed the effect of miR-503-5p targeting type IA bone morphogenetic protein receptor (BMPR1A) on CH to inform future diagnosis and treatment of CH. Methods And Results: In this retrospective comparison study on surgically resected colorectal adenocarcinomas (CRA, n = 2389), we investigated and compared clinicopathological and prognostic features between AFPCRA cases with elevated pre-operative serum AFP levels, as the AFPCRA study group (n = 49, 2.1%), and the exact sex-, age- and stage-matched CRA cases as the control group at a 1:2 ratio during the study period from 2011 to 2021.

A Comparative Analysis on Indoor and Outdoor PM and Their Hourly Associations with Acute Respiratory Inflammation Among College Students in Lhasa.

Ambient concentrations are commonly used as proxies for personal PM exposure in epidemiological studies, despite indoor settings being the places where people spend most of their time. In a panel study of 110 nonsmoking, healthy college students in Lhasa, Tibet, indoor PM was monitored using calibrated low-cost sensors for two multiweek periods, in over 40 dormitories where participants resided. We also repeatedly measured fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO), an acute respiratory inflammation biomarker, for each participant.

Radiation pneumonitis (RP) is an inflammatory reaction in the lungs caused by radiation therapy. The etiology of RP is complex and varied, making it challenging to establish accurate predictive models for RP. The aim of this study is to develop a dual-modal prediction model for RP using pre-radiotherapy CT images of the patient's lungs, along with clinical and dose data.
