Objective: In this study, chronic compression of cervical spinal cord was introduced into twy/twy mice and the role of MK2 signaling pathway was investigated in this disease.
Methods: twy/twy mice aged 6-24 weeks were used and the inflammatory response in the cervical spinal cord was observed. The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) mice were used as controls.

Objective: To investigate the expression of apolipoprotein A-I(ApoA-I) in eight histological types of renal neoplasms and to explore a new biomarker for differential diagnosis.
Methods: The immunochemistry was used to detect the expression of ApoA-I in 23 cases of renal tumors, including clear cell carcinoma, papillary cell carcinoma, chromophobe cell carcinoma, oncocytoma, multilocular cystic carcinoma, renal pelvis invasive urothelial carcinoma, metanephric adenoma and collecting ducts carcinoma. Five cases of cancer-adjacent normal tissues were obtained from another five renal tumor patients and were chosen as control group.

Objective: To offer a clue for the etiology of amblyopia by systematically comparing the macular thickness measured by optical coherence tomography (OCT) between the amblyopic eye and the fellow normal eye in patients with unilateral amblyopia.
Methods: Databases including Wanfang, PubMed and others were searched, and data were extracted after quality assessment, then the Meta analysis was performed by the RevMan 5.02 software.

Aims: To seek urinary peptides as biomarkers distinguishing type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients from healthy controls.
Methods: Random urine samples obtained from 28 patients with T2DM and 29 healthy individuals were analyzed by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) after purification using weak cationic-exchange magnetic beads (MB-WCX). Then the generated mass spectra of peptides were analyzed by ClinProTools2.

Background: Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is a rare stroke subtype, which has many overlapping symptoms with non-thrombotic cerebral venous sinus stenosis (CVSS) in the acute phase. Despite these similarities, their therapeutic regimens and outcomes are entirely different, and treatment delay is life-threatening. This study aims to address their clinical differences to help promote proper patient care.

Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is an uncommon but life-threatening stroke subtype with extremely diverse clinical features, predisposing factors, brain imaging findings, and outcomes. Its predominant etiologies were known to be otomastoid, orbit, and central face cutaneous infections, pregnancy and complications associated with the postpartum period, and oral contraceptives. In recent years, however, infections have accounted for fewer cases while oral contraceptives, pregnancy and complications associated with the postpartum period, tumors, and coagulopathies have accounted for more cases of CVST.

Methods: Blood samples were collected at baseline and at hours 1, 2, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72, and 96 after urokinase infusion finished. The levels of plasma F(1+2) and D-dimer of 45 patients who received urokinase intravenous infusion were assayed by ELISA and fluorescent immunoassay, and analysed dynamically with their clinical outcomes.
